“Absolute great vibe of a hotel. Checking in staff were super friendly answered all my questions. Exploring the place was a blast seeing all the snapshots of history in the hotel was great. The lift was a vibe if not a little scary though. A pain in the ass if some chum hasnt closed both doors and you have to go up and locate what floor it is on so my dad on crutches could get to the 2nd floor. “Stayed here for two nights with our family of 5 (including our 3 little kids). The pool was fantastic and for most part we were the only ones using it which was great for the kids. The room was nice enough, not incredible but it was big enough for us all and well kept. The food in the restaurant was fine - pretty normal pub food. The kids meals for breakfast were quite small. I would suggest ordering a normal adult meal for any kid over 5. Staff were lovely. The play area for the kids was great....
