Amazing location in the hills
Really enjoyed our stay here. Jacquie was very helpful and super friendly. Patch was also equally as friendly and there to greet us upon arrival. We will be back in the summer to take advantage of the pool and decking

Absolutely wonderful!
You have to go to Good Hope to see for yourself. Words could not give it justice. Mandy, our dog, went around the pool, but resisted jumping in. She just loves swimming pools. The views, well, imagine you are in God’s country.

Beautiful location
A cattle and sheep property that is quiet and peaceful with a stunning view. We had a delicious evening meal that was prearranged with the property owner. The portions were generous and very enjoyable. It was a cold night but we were warm and cosy. My only concern was that there is no fence between the accommodation and the pool. Our dog is elderly and is sight impaired and so we had to keep him inside most of the time in case he fell into the pool. Other than that the property was terrific.

Perfect home away from home
The house was perfect for our very quick trip to NSW it was clean and comfortable and a lovely breakfast was provided. Our dogs were able to stay and had plenty of room to run around. The views are spectacular you can sit on the verandah and take a moment to enjoy the scenery. The hosts were really lovely people.

Fabulous retreat
Loved this property, chose because it's pet friendly but can't deny the views and ambience were outstanding! Well appointed with most of what you need for a short break, separate bedroom and bathroom, cosy lounge/dining, pool on the doorstep and jaw-dropping views of Lake Hume and surrounding countryside. Generous continental breakfast included, and good options to heat up our evening meal. Jacquie, our host, was warm and welcoming and so were her pups Elsa and Shadow. We loved this place!!

Rural Rest Stop
This is cosy clean accommodation in a quite rural location. 20 minutes off the main highway. Well worth the diversion. Well appointed lodgings with magnificent views of the valley and lake. Also has a pool, for warmer months. Highly recommended.

Good Hope Easter
Warm, cozy and tidy. The views are so gorgeous we could have spend days just looking at the hills, the lake and the clouds. Thank you for the fantastic four days we spent at Good Hope!

Nice little stop on the way home. All the basics you need and clean. Bedroom with ensuite, separate to living room.Owner greeted us on arrival. Lovely dogs on the property that are very sweet and affectionate. The unsealed road up the hill from the sealed road, is best suited for 4WD or ute, but could do it very slowly in a sedan (we were in a 4WD). We arrived after dark unfortunately, because sunset would be nice from here, but the night sky was a dazzling view.

A wonderful place to stay
What a beautiful place to stay! We felt welcomed and the house, view and property are just idyllic. Highly recommended. You just have to negotiate a a tricky dirt road to get there but we managed without 4WD cars.

Cosy pool house
The pool house is cosy with good heating, which you need since it can get quite cold and windy there. The bed was very comfortable. We missed having wifi because there was not good internet reception and the dirt road would have been easier to negotiate with a four wheel drive. Unfortunately it was pouring rain when we got there so walking up the path and across the lawn to the pool house to unload was not pleasant. However, this didn’t deter our dogs who jumped straight in the pool! The views over Burrinjuck Dam were amazing as was the countryside. In fine weather it would be a great spot to chill out.

You had bad luck with the weather but we’ve been waiting for spring to arrive for a while! Also, we’re hoping the road will be graded very soon. Hope you can come again sometime.

Amazing place to stay
One of the most beautiful places we have stayed. Magnificent views over the Murumbidgee and surrounds, beautiful small cottage for us and our two labradors, amazing gardens, lovely host. Access road in needed repair due to recent rain. Overall it was a fabulous spot to stay overnight on our trip to Victoria.

Perfect getaway
Revisited this beautiful cottage during the long weekend. Only an hour out of Canberra makes it a perfect getaway spot for my partner & I with our dog. Jacquie is a lovely host and maintains the property immaculately. Her flowers were in full bloom this time which made the place look even more magical. Light breakfast is provided. So BYO lunch & dinner and you can sit back on the pool deck and enjoy the stunning view that changes colour every minute.

Met on arriving by a delightful Host, Jacqui. Escorted to the Pool House Wow what a view into the valley. I self catered. Everything I needed was there to cook my Dinner The Drive in & out around the lake was stunning

Peaceful and amazing views
It was fantastic being surrounded by farmland with amazing views of the lake. It was also a birdwatchers delight (being able to watch the birds of prey from above was a highlight). The hosts were great and our dog enjoyed her walks.

Good Hope Dog Friendly Accomodation
Stunning scenery and ambience. Jacquie was thoughtful and made my stay with Gypsy very pleasant. I did not want for anything as all was provided. I would recommend this stay to anyone who wants comfort and attention to detail. The distance out of Yass is well worth the time, although the road has a patch of dirt with a few potholes. My car managed well and its not a 4 wheel drive!

Modern cute cottage in one of Australia’s oldest landscape
We only stayed overnight to show my partner’s son who was visiting from interstate around the area. But we wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage is set high up overlooking the stunning views of hills and the Murrumbidgee River. Could spend hours taking in the scenery, enjoying a glass of wine or reading books by the immaculate pool. The accommodation is self contained and has everything you need. We just used the BBQ to cook a simple meal. While we are not big on breakfast it’s well provided for and Jacquie went all the way into town to get us fresh bread so we didn’t go hungry. We would very much like to revisit it for a longer stay next time.

Paradise
Fabulous overnight stay on the way to Sydney. Wonderful views of the countryside, a pristine pool and dog friendly. Dinner was delicious. We will be back next year.

Wonderful Stay

Few days break
We loved this little place and it's perfect for a couple or single person wanting to get away. The views are just amazing, sitting on the deck with a cheese board and glass of wine ...what more could you ask for. The cottage is small but very cute, clean and everything you need. We asked to borrow the fire pit one night which made the cold it so special to sit outside by the fire and watch the sun go down! There only small improvement would be some softer towels to be provided...apart from that we loved this place and we will definitely come back. PS - We brought our mounting bikes and biked the long track around the water..another great option. 10/10 Therasa

Perfect Short Stay
Short stay on route to Lake Crackenback and arrived in time to enjoy drinks on the pool deck with the incredible view. Would like to return at some point and stay a bit longer to make the most of the location and property. It’s absolutely spotless and it’s been thoughtfully considered in terms of having all that you need to enjoy the tranquil location.

Easter Regeneration
The perfect secluded getaway, I stayed 5 nights, perfect weather, country air and a lot of chilling out. My fur child was very happy to relax and hang out with me. Immaculately clean and privacy respected, Jacquie has it all very nicely presented, I will definitely be back, when I need to recharge !

Great spot
We very much enjoyed our stay here. It’s an easy and really gorgeous drive from Yass and a peaceful place to stay off the highway. The cottage is comfortable and boasts magnificent views in all directions from the pool deck. We highly recommend this spot for two people.

Lovely cottage with breathtaking views.
We had a wonderful and resting stay at Good Hope. Jacquie is a lovely host. The dog Shadow is super friendly and got along well with our dog. We got the chance to witness the shearing of the sheep. The property was cute with all you need for a comfortable stay. I would suggest a large umbrella to protect from the sun as it can be quite bright and hot during the day. The swimming pool is excellent! The dirt road to the property is very easily accessible and our Corolla managed it very well. It is a short distance from Yass where you have all services you would need and interesting self-guided tours of the town. Wee Jasper is a must see for the caves and the picturesque landscapes. We are very relaxed after our stay and we will definitely come back. Thank you for a great week.

Good little pool house
Thanks for having us! Fantastic views from the pool house. A few issues with the hot water in the shower that were fixed by the host. Careful booking on Stayz if you are booking with a pet it does not include the pet fee which would will have to remember some cash for!

Hilltop heaven
Short drive on dirt road but once you reach the top of the hill it is magic. The cabin was very well appointed and host lovely to deal with. Loved the pool and sitting on the deck looking at the rolling hills and the water skiers on the lake below. Would recommend for overnight stays or those who want to escape reality!

The Pool House Farmstay
We had a beautiful weekend at the pool house in Good Hope. Our Stayz host Jacquie was helpful. The views were spectacular and the greeting on arrival by Jacqui and the dog and lambs was a delight.

Amazing View
It was a lovely 2 days stay. Jacquie was lovely. We qere greeted by shadow the house super friendly dog. The view was breath taking. We opted for accomodation and meals. The meal was lovely! Jacquie even went over and beyond and gave us the mushroom sauce we requested. Our dogs had a chance to play in the pool. They have pet lambs which was adorable too. It was a great stay. Will definitely be back for sure. Thank you Jacquie, what a great host!

A cosy cottage for a weekend getaway - with more views than you can imagine!
The cottage was warm and inviting for a cold weekend and provided everything you could need to be comfortable. We loved staying here with our dog and she loved playing with Shadow too. We were made to feel very welcome and had a perfect relaxing breakaway.
