“Overall, a fairly decent stay. The room could use some updating, but it was clean and comfortable, which made it perfectly fine for a short stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which definitely made a positive impression. The location was a bit noisier than I’m used to (I live on a farm, so that may just be me), and there wasn’t much within walking distance in terms of attractions or things to do. One downside was that the window screen was completely torn out, so I wasn’t able to...

“Room was clean, washroom clean with good shower and water pressure, staff were helpful and courteous. The bed did sag in the centre with 2 sleepers but was not horrible. Amenities were very basic, no place to hang clothing, towels clean and good quality, microwave and fridge but no coffee or tea, no phone in room to contact front desk. For the price this was a very good stay.”

“The staff were very pleasant, and we were able to check-in early. Our Sigmund Freud theme room was exceptionally clean and spacious. The Library Bar has a very classic vibe and delicious cocktails. This hotel is a hidden, historic gem. I’d highly recommend it for business or pleasure.”

“Room needs lots of updates. No sports stations on TV. Cable system certainly needs to be updated. Check in was standing outside while a window was opened and clip board was passed through. Very impersonal.”
