“I liked the convenience of my room right by the door where my car was parked, so no stairs. I didn't like that Expedia said that they have an indoor pool but they do not have one on-site. We were able to get a pass to use the pool at the Aspen Lodge down the street. Also the beds are terribly hard, luckily we were only there for one night.”

“The view was wonderful, and the staff was very helpful. There was a smoky odor in the room, either from the fireplaces in the other units or from the firepit outside. The floor plan of the bathroom in the third-floor room was odd. The open door blocked the sink. We had a little trouble figuring out the A/C controls, so the room was a little too warm. We greatly appreciated the free EV charging stations. They were never ICEd while we were there. We underestimated how tiring the 32 stair steps...

“We booked a beachfront room specifically so we could enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of our room since the weather was chilly. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. “We really enjoyed our weekend here. Quiet and secluded, but still very close to Grand Marais. A path just outside accesses a whole network of trails, we hiked to Pincushion Mountain. And the SHT connects here as well if you want to go further. The furnishings are simple in a very nice way; a folding table with two folding chairs, an electric kettle and a mini fridge are great for morning coffee or simple meals.
