“Breakfast menu varied each day and was hot and fresh with nice variety of chilled items like hard boiled eggs, yogurt and indv. Cartons of milk. Clean and comforable rooms and spacious pool, hot tub and sauna. Will definitely stay here again. Also needed a minor adjustment to our shower head and it was taken care of same day.”

“Cozy stay at Solbakken. Super pet friendly, small kitchenette and a warm space to warm up after skiing and biking. Location was convenient between Grand Marais and Lutsen. Will definitely be back.”

“Lovely remote lodge in beautiful area. The room is small, but well appointed. You will lose cell seevice on the gorgeous Gunflint Trail, so make sure you have saved your check in instructions beforehand. Note that many lodges on the trail have restaurants, but not this one, so bring food with you before you arrive. They are last on the trail except a campground, so once you’re here, you’ll need to have everything. I came thinking I might get to see the Milky Way since it’s so remote, but there...
