Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north.”

“It was refreshing to stay somewhere with such individuality rather than the usual chain hotels. Beautifully furnished throughout, with fabulous attention to detail, so much to look at. Breakfast was excellent, a good range of continental and cooked choices, with local ingredients. Slightly outside the village, they provided a chauffeur service to and from any of the restaurants in the evening in their electric Mercedes minibus.
