“Welcome drink on arrival... Still waiting for it! Raised issues with staff that were handled professionally but could have easily been avoided. Buffet style breakfast with choice of additional cooked to order dishes and continental options 5*. The surroundings were breathtaking. “The attention to detail is so lovely. Everyone was really helpful and we enjoyed the food, the surroundings and the spa. A really beautiful getaway. The female members of staff had to put up with a pretty misogynistic guest while we were there (which we witnessed at breakfast) and they kept their cool and handled his rudeness with grace and patience. A lot of friendly professionals work here and you can see they put love into their work! ”

“The room wasn't quite how we expected based on the picture provided at point of booking, but was ok. The bed was on the former side but reasonably comfortable, as we're the pillows. "Had to cancel our trip due to a medical emergency and flight cancellation. Contacted all hotels we had booked—five refunded us without issue. Even Ryanair did. Cairn Hotel was the only one that flat-out refused, no empathy, no flexibility, not even a partial credit. I explained everything, even pleaded—but they just hid behind their “policy.” I could’ve paid more for the flexible rate, but budget was tight. Shame, because we were really looking forward to staying. Very disappointing experience."
