Hotel a Great Chatwell

“Our stay was not the best. Dirty cups in room, no milk, very hot room. Asked for a fan which we did receive but it was broken. On a having a shower the head of the shower flew off and hit me. Food basic, at breakfast poached eggs were hard and u only got half a slice of bread. The staff were good, and when i made a complaint i did get my money back. Overall i would never stay here agsin.”

“Check in was straight forward and our room was ready before time. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a couple of drinks in the bar then a very tasty meal in the restaurant. Overall a very pleasant experience. Thankyou”

“We had a comfortable stay at Upper House and slept well. Breakfast was enjoyable, and we also had dinner during our visit, the food was lovely and a real highlight. However, the room cleanliness was fairly basic and could be improved. The staff were polite but didn’t come across as particularly warm or welcoming. The property itself feels quite dated and would benefit from modernisation, as it seems to have remained largely unchanged for many years. It’s also worth noting that the venue hosts...

“Host was excellent and very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and everything you could possibley want - we didn't have an evening meal but was advised that we would need to pre-order on the day of arrival due to ongoing redecoration works in the hotel. Plenty of parking to the rear of the hotel. Overall an excellent stay.”

“Lovely little place, lovely room with lovely hot shower facilities which is rare to come by. 4 star rating only due to the pub being closed and nothing close locally to get food ect.”

“What a find! The Dinney’s was an absolute pleasure to stay in. It has charm, quirkiness, beautiful decor and incredible scenery. The hosts are warm and welcoming and the breakfast was divine! Highly recommend this B&B and it is the perfect location for The Astbury if you are attending an event there. ”

“Lots of parking. The waitress at breakfast was great and couldn't do enough for me. I stayed 2 nights, 1st breakfast perfectly cooked, the 2nd breakfast not so great. Prices are about right The room was big, clean light and airy with good facilities. Definitely an above average establishment. I would definitely re visit.”

“If you can, avoid room 011 (ground floor), not sure what is above but footsteps came through the ceiling late at night and again early morning which woke me. Told reception on leaving but just got a “sorry about that”. Some staff nice and friendly. Public areas OK but a bit tired in places. Free parking and a service station in walking distance. Overall did the job but not cheap. ”

“L'hotel non era male ma il mio letto sembrava essere stato sistemato con le lenzuola usate e tra l'altro non riboccate sui piedi ma arruffate... sulla moquette qualcosa di appuntito mi ha punto il piede. L'area piscina poi in Italia sarebbe stata chiusa per condizioni igieniche non descrivibili. Jacuzzi non funzionante, coperta con un telo, sauna annacquata con sporco galleggiante, piscina piccola e non limpida, spogliatoi e docce con molto sporco a terra... insomma un porcile! mi spiace ma...
