“A lovely cosy welcoming hotel. Our room was lovely. Bed was comfy. Plenty of sockets. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice . The overhead shower was great, however the other shower head was not good, hardly any water flowing out of the shower head. I went to open the window in the bedroom and when I opened the shutter alk around the window was full of cobwebs. There was hardly any sugar or milk in the room. there is a little jug you can take to bar to fill up with milk but...

“Lots of parking. The waitress at breakfast was great and couldn't do enough for me. I stayed 2 nights, 1st breakfast perfectly cooked, the 2nd breakfast not so great. Prices are about right The room was big, clean light and airy with good facilities. Definitely an above average establishment. I would definitely re visit.”

“Superb pub and rooms steeped in local history - Robert Plant started his career here playing blues guitar aged 15 in the upstairs blues club (sadly not there anymore but the history is palpable). The pub is a treasure trove of history, and so well preserved, from the original staircases and ceramic tiling on the walls, to the original bar. My room was just sheer excellence. Comfy bed, every amenity laid on, crispy linen and a boiling hot shower. Sadly the pub no longer serves food other than...

“Highly disappointing. A very, very run down hotel. Room had a disinfectant smell, bedding minimal, carpet needs a good cleaning, and basic shower unit - a curtain around a plastic base - with a blocked drain that risked flooding. This is certainly nowhere close to the ‘Very Good’ 8/10 rating as presented by Expedia.”
