“Fantastic, our room was lovely and spacious, we stayed a couple of nights and breakfast was delicious. We also had an evening meal in the 1630 bar which was perfect for dining with our dog. A lovely atmosphere and great food. The staff are all very welcoming, helpful and friendly and we’ll look forward to staying again. ”

“Fabulous room, very modern with TV, tea, coffee and biscuits, iron and ironing board, hairdryer - in fact everything you could possibly need. Bathroom was a 'wet room' with a super shower. Breakfast was enormous with plenty of tea or coffee. All the staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to assist. Well worth staying here if visiting the area.”

“Great find. Would love to stay again in the Summer and explore the grounds. Natalie was so welcoming, helpful, nothing was too much of a problem. Mike/Mick (night porter) was also friendly and helpful. Great view from dining room over the gardens. We had a four poster bed but found it uncomfortable. The bedroom was lovely and the spa bath was great. A short walk to the High Street where there were a number of pubs if you didn't want to stay in the hotel. ”

“The Golden Lion was absolutely wonderful and we will stay here again the next time I come to Bridgnorth to visit my musician friends. The room was surprisingly large and bathroom up to date for the historical age of the building. It was very relaxed, they served a lovely traditional UK breakfast and accommodated my gluten free needs as well as flexibility on our check in time due to a rehearsal I had to get to. “We stayed in Room 2, The Ercall, it was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and the views were amazing. Excellent attention to detail with good selection of hot beverages in te room. Taxi into Shrewsbury town was £10 and 15 - 20 minutes. The staff at the Riverside Inn are its greatest asset, polite, friendly, knowledgeable bout the local area, made time to chat and had everything you needed for a pleasant stay. ”
