“Our stay at the Edelweiss Hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is charming and you totally get the family run vibe. Thomas was very attentive and helpful, as was Monica and the rest of the staff. We had our hikes planned but, made some changes based on their recommendations and they were spot on. I feel that their suggestions made our experiences even better.
We had a balcony room with a delightful view. I highly recommend this establishment. ”

“I had great expectations for this stay since I’ve been to Wengen several times and I looked forward to stay at this hotel, that I value as the best there.
It was a short stay to ski, so I arrived and I departed late. The reception closes at 16.00 so I found my room key waiting for me with a nice note and that’s it. After 16.00 there’s also no service to and from the station: a minor issue.
I felt really unwelcome without a human contact with the reception: I can understand that at a “cheap”...
“This was the most amazing property. The rooms are all very different and we did have an issue on our first night with noise and the room temperature (it was unseasonably hot and there is no AC). We were moved to a new room in the same category that was so amazing. Would stay again, great spot and wonderful spa area!”

The hotel is in front of Allmendhubel ski lift and 2 min away from Birg/Schilthorn gondola. Couldn't be better placed.
Room was small but clean and warm. Personnel was nice in the extreme. Good breakfast and restaurant food. For the restaurant I advice to book in advance. They fortunately let us seat but it was fully booked and we were lucky.

“L'albergo è bello, la vista sulle montagne pure. La colazione è abbondante. Non c'è un parcheggio coperto, ma un posto auto sì. L'elemento che lascia un po' perplessi è il prezzo: il costo di una notte è eccessivo. L'albergo in cui abbiamo soggiornato la notte precedente a Berna (sempre in Svizzera) non offriva di meno, ma costava poco più di metà.Grindewald è circondata da bellissime montagne, ma di per sé non ha nessuna bellezza (niente a che vedere con alcuni altri centri montani delle Alpi)....
“Comfortable stay and writhing walkable distance to everything. Pillows were little tricky apart from that all else was perfect. Recommended for families. Breakfast is really good too.”
“ usually don’t write reviews, but this hotel truly stole my heart. As a big fan of high-end hotels, I’ve experienced many, but this one stands out in a special way. The views from the balcony are straight out of a fairytale. What makes it even more special is its perfect location—just slightly off the main road, offering peace and quiet, yet only a short, scenic walk to the bustling shopping and tourist street.
The service was outstanding, with genuine attention to detail in every interaction....
