@thehiddengemflx is a historic Greek revival home nestled on 3 acres of relaxing gardens. Our home has been lovingly renovated while still maintaining its original details. It blends historic features with current-day conveniences and modern Art Deco design. It’s an ideal location to explore the region's lakes, wineries, breweries, colleges, museums and parks.

The Space

Welcome to our charming retreat! This family-friendly home offers comfort and convenience, providing a perfect escape for any occasion.

- FIRST FLOOR -
Upon entering, you'll be greeted by an elegant design that blends art highlighting the region's natural beauty with modern textures and antique wooden furniture.
✔ Sitting Area: Settle in with hooks for hats, purses, and coats. Original wide plank hardwood floors add historic charm.
✔ Family Room: 8-person sectional (queen size sleeper sofa), crystal chandelier, large flat screen TV, blackout curtains.
✔ Living Room: Wood-burning stove, crystal chandelier, coffered ceilings, large flat screen TV.
✔ Bathroom: Clawfoot tub, heated floors.
✔ Kitchen: Stainless steel appliances, large island, ample storage, all necessary cooking utensils.
✔ Dining Room: Seats 10 comfortably, bay windows for natural light, coffee bar/buffet cabinets.
✔ Office: Standing desk with views of the rear deck, garden, and barn.
✔ Laundry Room: High efficiency washer and dryer.

- SECOND FLOOR -
This floor features four bedrooms, a reading nook, a sitting area, and an upstairs bathroom.
✔ Main Bedroom: King bed, blackout curtains, flat screen TV, walk-in closet, sitting area, direct bathroom access.
✔ Second Bedroom: Queen bed, room darkening shades, ample storage.
✔ Third Bedroom: Full size bunk beds with trundle, ample luggage space in the closet.
✔ Loft Bedroom: Twin size daybed with trundle, skylights, private closet.
✔ Bathroom: Dual-headed shower, towel warming bar, ample storage, European bidet.

- OUTDOORS -
Enjoy nature on our 3 acres of private land, featuring a front porch, side porch, and rear deck with a gas grill and outdoor living room. The garden includes a tire swing, hammock, and space for hammock chairs, making it ideal for relaxation or family gatherings (with approval).
Our property is perfect for appreciating nature, hosting a special occasion photo shoot, or enjoying a star-filled night sky.

Property was exactly as described in the listing. Great location for our specific trip, only 10/15 minute to Cortland and about the same distance to Ithaca. We’ll certainly book this property again for our future trips to the area.

I had an amazing stay! The house was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. It had everything I needed and made me feel right at home. The location was peaceful and convenient, and the hosts were absolutely lovely so friendly, welcoming, and responsive. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place!

One of a kind experience, an old home renovated well on the inside. Everything was in good shape and condition. Gives the country living experience especially when the cows were grazing in the morning and evening just across the street from the property. Outside garden, lush trees, vibrant flowers were very nice, especially the deck with the grill was good. I do recommend it for families with children. Max and Tiffany were very welcoming, respectful and responsive. Overall a memorable and enjoyable stay.These are recommendations to improve experience and not a concern. The couches had some old stain marks which could have been more spotless clean, not a fan of tubs so 1F bath could also be a stand-in shower, and additional half bath in each floor would keep this booked always. A game room or more outdoor games and board games would have been excellent for kids. Did the stove had a built in air fryer, I wasn't sure. Although the dishwasher was the quietest, some challenges without display and app access.

Lovely home base in central NY

We stayed here with our almost adult sons while visiting our Syracuse student. The house is older and has a ton of charm, warm and cozy on this stormy winter weekend. We enjoyed the remoteness of the house; we either cooked or drove into Cortland for dinner. Plenty of comforts including lots of warm blankets and a well equipped kitchen with a cute coffee and tea station set up in the hutch. My musical kiddo very much enjoyed the keyboard in his room!I had to contact the owners about a small leak under a sink and they responded right away and had it fixed quickly. We would absolutely stay here again!

Family fun weekend with all the amenities and more.

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The house is so much bigger than expected, beautiful and charming, it was fully stocked all the items you’d need and more. The location is convenient to get to Cortland and Ithaca. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful property and stay!

We had a family-friend weekend to hike waterfalls and enjoy the fall leaves. Pictures and property descriptions are all accurate , the house cleanliness and accommodations were amazing!! I had a couple questions for the hosts and their response was quick and the check in/out was easy. You can tell they put a lot of work and care into the property. We would stay again!! Thank you!!

Beautiful home 25 minutes from Ithaca

We stayed at this beautifully remodeled home from the 1800’s and had a wonderful visit! The house is clean, wonderfully decorated, and the beds are comfortable! The hosts are very receptive!
