dont get me wrong the place is perfect! the house and all you need they have it there.the only problem is the customer service when tried calling them they had mentioned that we would need to bring lates, silverware etc.. they said that they only had coffe maker, toaster and blender and wine glasses, but everything else we were suppoed to b ring (for the kitchen) but in realioty they do have everything.its very clean and nice place, cozy beautiful! but the customer service, Jesus christ

Traumatizing experience

We arrived at 4:00 to all the doors open in the house and a car in the driveway. We assumed housecleaning must still be there hopefully finishing up. We walked in to a young man passed out on the couch, feces/urine in the toilet, cleaning supplies on the counter, and none of the house cleaned. My husband had to physically shake him to wake him up. He woke up confused and obviously under the influence of something. He was adamant that we weren’t supposed to be there and that the house wasn’t booked. He called his boss on speaker phone who proceeded to tell him excuses he could tell us to get us out of the house. My husband and I both called Vacasa, the woman I spoke with was no help at all; the woman my husband spoke to sent out an “emergency cleaning crew.” The lead housekeeper who first came was very helpful and apologetic. We sat down by the lake until 6:00 while the house was cleaned. The house was not clean and has not had a thorough cleaning in a very long time. The bottoms of our feet were BLACK so my husband mopped the floor which helped but we still walked around with our shoes on. There were pills under the couches, the bathrooms smelled like old, stained urine which permeated through the house. Was the house dated? Yes. Does the carpet need to be replaced? Yes. All things we could have dealt with but this house was just gross. Vacasa said they could have given us another house but had to cancel this before someone would contact us about our “options.”

Not As Advertised !!

Even though the location on the lake was very good, the home has not seen any repairs in many years. Rolling out the awning above the dining room windows to shade from the early day sun (after figuring out it was not plugged in to the outlet), we found a very tattered fabric all the width !! Also had to sweep the deck, that looked as if it had not been cleaned in a very long time, and found many roofing nails, looks like the roof is in need of repair. In the dining room, the best view in the home, found that two the window blinds were taped or wired so as not to work! In a cabinet next to the kitchen exhaust fan, found an electrical box uncovered with wires exposed, a safety hazard. Also in the kitchen area there is a missing knob for the on off of the exhaust fan, along with other cabinets missing knob and drawers not operating properly. Even two of the bedrooms were up on the mail level and two were on the lower level only accessed by going outside! The two lower bedrooms were connected to each other along with a bathroom. Getting to the lake is quite the billy goat hike, down two sets of stairs, around the back and down a gravel path the dock, were there is a great dining area, with table and chairs, and a new umbrella, if you can lug all your stuff there!! Overall, for a short three night, four day stay and you are willing to accept all this, it's a great location. Would NOT Recommend for a family with lots of kids, too had to navigate for a long period.

Didn’t get to go in at The check in time of 4 o’clock the floors were being mopped at 4 and we had to wait about 45 minutes Till the floors dried. Over all was pretty clean some of the shutters were a little dirty

Great Location, But Older Property

Best part of the property is the location on the lake. However, the first impression driving in was off putting with the broken down car, boats, leaves, cobwebs and debris covering car ports, decks and steps. The worst part of the house side is the kitchen. The counter tops grout, floors, fridge, are all older and not clean. The dishwasher was full of dishes when we arrived, the coffee pot had not been cleaned in a very long time. A pan was left in the oven filled with a large amount of grease from a prior rental. Large cutting board on the counter was very dirty. Not impressed with the older kitchen. The ignition switch on both BBQ did not work. Need to have your own lighter. One of the BBQ burners is out. Broken shades and stutters. The view of the lake is very nice, along with the family room area to all to hang out. If it weren’t for the lake view and dock, I would have rated the house a 2. In general the property needs some love and care.

Wonderful memories

Had the best time here with my kids and grandkids and brother. You could make a small sand beach instead of rocks would be perfect kids could play in water.

Christmas holiday

8 adults and one teen came for Christmas holiday. It was perfect. Plenty of room. Dinner table that fit everyone. It was clean and provided everything we could have asked for.

Great Location

The location could not be better! Right on the lake which was lovely. The home is spacious and comfortable and perfect for your entire family. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. My only negative is the home is very dated many of the electrical outlets did not work and one side of the sink was not operational during our stay. We made it work and honestly would stay again. It would be nice if the owner would allow us to use their kayaks. I would have paid an additional fee for that convenience.

Lakefront dream

I wish this place was ours. A lakefront home on a sweet spot. Relaxing and spacious, well stocked kitchen and very comfortable king size bed. A few handyman projects here and there but nothing that spoiled the experience.

This house is a really nice place to spend time with your family, we hade great time, is a very quiet neighborhood the perfect place to get away from so many stress from the city, the house have everything that you need, you only need to bring your food they also have little seasoning in the kitchen dispenser

Great location- horrible management

The location of the home is great. Fun having easy and private lake access. The house was open, comfortable and well stocked. The issue is the management- several issues came up and it took over 24 hours for a non autogenerated response. Several issues still are unaddressed. One of the toilets was out, the dishwasher was broken, the stove top did not work, ants in the kitchen and bathroom and a few minor other issues. The local maintenance person was helpful, but the management failed to contact him for the first 24 hours. If the home was fixed and under different management I would be happy to stay there again as the setting was perfect. However, I will never rent from a home managed by vacasa again. It’s unfortunate. I would have loved to tell the owners this directly, I asked for their contact information, but was not given their contact- rather than public review.

Wonderful stay

My family really enjoyed our stay! The views of the lake from the kitchen were beautiful, the children enjoyed the dock and the house was spacious and comfortable. My kids are already asking when we can come back! The lower lever is only accessible from the back deck but that was fine for our group. Kitchen was well stocked and access to town was very close. Thanks

Beautiful house right on the lake.

This house was perfect for our family trip. Nice open living room area. The location on the lake is great. Two bedrooms and one bath are not accessible from inside the house, you have to go outside and downstairs. It wasn’t a big deal for us because it wasn’t snowing or raining. Overall great house!

Relaxing getaway that worked out like a charm

This property provided the perfect place for us to spend a weekend. It was comfortable, remote, and accommodating. Vacasa and the property manager were great, easy to communicate with the whole time. We spent a lot of time by the lake and did multiple meals on the lower patio. Would definitely recommend!

Filthy house - stay away

Oh boy, where to start?! I am very sad to write this review, as I would have loved to give this house 5 stars, but it is disgustingly filthy and it is a pattern, I am afraid, judging by similar past reviews despite management responses below that the house is normally not as dirty. The day we came we discovered some brown sticky substance with several black hair stuck in it around the sink in the main upstairs bathroom, food remains on the dining table, sticky dishes and dirty cups and pots/pans (had to rewash some things before using them), meat blood in the freezer, spider webs everywhere, not enough spare linens to use with extra mattresses, and those that were provided were with holes and smelled used and dirty. Our feet turned black from all the dirt on the floor (I wish I had taken pictures of them as I did of everything else). The management did drop off the linens, but it was a drop in a bucket of fixing all the issues. The place advertises enhanced cleaning due to Covid-19, by all means, it fails minimal sanitary standards, not mentioning enhanced anything. It's a legal and safety issue given the pandemic at hand. Next day we went to the dock and the stench was horrible. We found a decaying corpse of a turtle and bird remains. We also found broken beer bottles in several places and juice packet on the ground - all right on the path from the house to the dock in visible places. We were lucky none of the kids cut themselves on broken glass. Next to the deck we found some loose tarp. The dock's railing isn't secured well enough which presents safety concerns, as well as non working lights at the entrance to the ground floor, which were promised to be replaced, but never were. Overall, the property inside and out is unkempt, and it was very disappointing to vacation and celebrate 2 birthdays in such conditions. It was ridiculous to pay as much as we paid for this house, when a house in this condition should not be rented out in the first place. I expect that the company that takes money for providing a certain service does so professionally, especially given the pandemic situation.

Disappointed

We came back to this house for the third time. Unfortunately, will never come back again. Over the years, the house has not been maintained. Needs a lot of work, everything is broken and dirty. Can’t believe how dirty it was specially during these COVID times, Cobwebs everywhere, carpets stink. Kitchens pots and pans unusable. It was a very hot weekend and the AC doesn’t seem to work well. Be aware - They provide one one roll Of paper towel , toilet paper and trash bags. Location is awesome but there are plenty of other houses on the lake with better facilities at the same price.

RENTER BEWARE!

Before we rented this house, we read the reviews that complained about the house being dirty but we assumed that because of the past reviews, the cleanliness issues would have been resolved and we would find a clean house. This was not the case! The first thing we discovered was the downstairs sleeping area was not locked and it looked as though the bed had been slept in! We had to wash the sheets and shake out the comforter to make sure it was safe to sleep in. To make matters worse, there was NO ELECTRICITY in the downstairs bedroom and bathroom. We called Vacasa guest service line to get some assistance and they created a work order, but we were told not to expect anyone as it was too late in the evening; 8:45pm. Instead, Vacasa asked us to look for the breaker box because that was most likely the issue. We never found the circuit breakers (probably in a locked room) and Vacasa never got back to us. We did however find antiquated wiring throughout the house with broken GFI switches in the downstairs bathroom. We rented this house for Thanksgiving, which for us means cooking large meals and watching football. The kitchen was absolutely filthy; the counter tops were stained with spilled drink and food, pots and pans were put away coated in grease with food stuck to them, and the glassware was grimy. There was even used coffee left in the coffee maker. We had to wash everything before we could use it, which meant a trip to the store because there no dishwasher detergent or spray cleaner to be found. And finally, the TV only got select stations none of which were broadcasting NFL football, so there was NO football on Thanksgiving!!! Aurgh! Other things to note: • Trash under the couches • A candy bar under the bed • Used Kleenex left on the floor • Spiders and spider webs were everywhere • No mirror in the half bath The two star overall rating was given due to the beautiful lake view and lake access and the living room, dining room, and kitchen were perfect for large family gatherings. Excellent fireplace too. But, if you are looking for a run-down, dirty house, this place is for you. We really hope the homeowners tune in and at least hire a different management company because whoever is supposed to be cleaning the house, is not!

When we arrived After 4pm the key code would not work! We had three phones connected trying to reach someone. I also sent texts and emails. We had gone grocery shopping in Groveland For ice cream, milk and fresh items. It took over an hour for someone to finally pick up the phone. She gave us another key code which worked. I was told someone would contact me regarding this situation but no one ever did! I was also told I would be credited for groceries never happened. I had tried to check in early was told no because the cleaners were taking extra time to clean and sanitize. We were totally upset because the house was filthy. The kitchen was not cleaned at all, sink was not scrubbed out ....the pots and pans were so dirty we scrubbed everything before we used it. The kitchen table was such a great size but also dirty ...there were no cleaning agents like comet in the hand or Clorox so it was hard to wipe them down. Bedrooms were fine...Clean towels were there 1 per person Bathrooms were okay tried not to think about this after the disappointment in the kitchen. The outside area was awesome and the dock swimming. I would Stay here again but would bring my cleaning supplies with me.

Great Dock/Lake! Grimy House

Overall this house was in a great location with a great dock and on a great lake. The views were spectacular! The grounds were nice. The dock was amazing and my family loved fishing off the pier. The outside was wonderful. I would rent this house again if a few things were cleaned up. BUT- The problems were inside. We arrived and 2 of the 4 bedrooms weren't made up. There was large trash bags in the drive way. I called the property manager and they came within 45 minutes to fix all of that. Great! Beds made, trash taken away! The problem was that the house had a smell and was full of cob webs. The place was just grimy. It was like they left the house for years, then quickly did the bare minimum to make it a rental. Don't get me wrong. Sheets, towels, counters were all clean. But the rugs were very dirty. The air vent in the hall was disgusting. Walls need paint. If you looked too closely at anything you noticed it was gross. I opened a kitchen drawer and was dry heaving because the stench was awful. I think something died. It was also dangerous. We used the gas grill - 3 stories up- on a wood deck- and a grease fire caught. Who knows when the grease trap was last cleaned? I ran to find the fire extinguisher just in case and it had already been used! No pin! empty! My husband quickly discontented the propane and moved it out of the way. Then we just watched it burn itself out. Luckily it wasn't worse. No Fire Extinguisher in the kitchen is negligent! Also, the kitchen sink literally cracked down the middle when we put something frozen in it. We couldn't use the sink. I've never seen a sink crack like that. The downstairs sink in the bathroom didn't have a handle. It only had the screw sticking out so my kids couldn't use it and we struggled to use it. There were no instructions for anything. The outside area by the dock was nice but at night we couldn't use it because I couldn't find a way to turn on the electricity out there. I loved the outside area of this property. The dock was perfect for our purposes . But this place needs some help before it can be rented out again. It needs a very very deep cleaning, some instructions on how to use the property and some upkeep (new sinks, fixtures that aren't broken, new air filter). 5 stars = outside and dock. 2 stars = inside - clean comfortable beds, clean linens, clean dishes- but the rest was dirty at best and dangerous at worst.
