“We had a wonderful stay at Chalet am Sonnehang. We stayed two nights, one in the second floor apartment which was lovely and then switched to the “tiny house” so we could have a fire in the wood stove. Nestled in the cozy cabin at night with the warming fire was a perfect alpine experience in sleepy Obertraun away from the busyness and crowds in Hallstatt! We would highly recommend staying here. The hosts were exceptional and very helpful. 😊”

“Excellent accommodation, would definitely recommend it to all my friends travelling to this area. 10mins walk to train/bus. 6mins walk to the nearest supermarket. Much affordable option compared to staying in Hallstatt. It’s only 11 mins by train (plus the 10mins walk to train station) Excellent facilities in the apartment - got everything you need. Laundry, kitchen, gym, parking, etc.”

“Excellent Hotel centrally located in town! Rooms were large and clean and comfortable. We enjoyed using their spa very much. The staff was very friendly, especially Jan at the front desk. He arranged a to-go lunch for our early morning check out.”

“Nice room and view. A good walk and plenty of stairs from the ferry. We had the hot tub - nice but probably needed some chlorine. Breakfast was delivered to the room and was a very nice spread. Very nice stay.”

“Loved my stay at this hotel. Rooms are clean and well maintained. One thing I want to highlight is their hair dryer is one of the best I have seen in all my stays in Europe!!! The owner is also very welcoming along with his dog and staff.”

“It was such a nice and pretty hotel in an incredible location, I ended up extending my stay five days longer that planned The receptionists, the housekeeping team , the restaurant staff were all so helpful . The pool and sauna were nice and most of al the access to the trains and buses to explore the whole area . Bad Ischl was the perfect base . Hotel is next door to Kaiser Villa , so convenient, and to the supermarket too . A good full breakfast and my room was spacious and so nice . I...
