I have stayed at this hotel several times, and I have almost always had good experiences. However, I have noticed a progressive decline in the quality of the hotel.
I stayed last night, and it was a terrible experience. The hallway smelled like grilled meat the entire time, as if smoke from the restaurants was venting directly into it. The toilet flush button did not work, the sink water would not drain and became clogged, the bathroom flooded, and throughout the night there was a mechanical noise in the room that intensified and woke me up several times. This occurred in room 425.
I understand the intention behind recycling key cards, but the ones we were given were scratched, worn out, and unattractive. Overall, it feels as though the hotel has significantly lowered its standards. This genuinely saddens me, as voco Guadalajara has been one of my preferred hotels to stay at in Guadalajara.
