The Tea Cozy Hotel was recommended to us by someone who lives in China and has been here several times - it was a great recommendation. My wife, daughter and I stayed at the TC for 6 nights in April. The hotel is a small, privately owned, establishment; it is clean, comfortable and has a delightful pool. The food is great and good value (as are the beer and wine), and the location of the hotel is very convenient for the river, walks and Jangshuo. But the best thing about the hotel is the staff - every member of staff we met was helpful, good humoured, charming and spoke good English. The service was very helpful and personal. Strongly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at Tea Cozy. The room was beautiful and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The food in the restaurant was great and the wine list was impressive. We would definitely stay again

This is an excellent place to stay in Yangshuo - remote location (surrounded by nature) yet close enoough to the city (10-15 mins by taxi). The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant has a large menu (both Chinese and Western dishes).

A lovely boutique hotel, with exquisite views of the surrounding mountains and a relaxing swimming pool, within a short walk from the exquisite Yulong River. I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend here.

Hospitable and superb service
The hotel staff is really friendly and the service is superb. They helped us carry our luggage all the way to the 4th floor. Suzy at the front desk is very helpful and friendly as well. The hotel is located in a quiet and restricted/gated area. There are on call golf carts that take us to the hotel from the gate and from the hotel. Our room has excellent view of the mountains.

We just loved this hotel. The people that run this hotel and work there are unbelievably nice. The prices for food was very reasonable and the choices at the restaurant were excellent. We did all our laundry there and their price for doing the laundry was much less costly than the hotels we stayed at previously in China. This was our favorite hotel out of all the hotels we stayed during our 3 1/2 week trip to China.

You must stay at this Excellent country inn in rural China. Fantastic views and service. Also modern facilities that surpass western standards. Note: no central heat in common areas so bring a warm coat. Most importantly many of staff speak fluent English and were exceedingly helpfully in making travel arrangement etc. Special thanks to Amy, manager!

One of the best hotel experiences I've had. After an awful day of experiencing the rain, our taxi arrived at the hotel and straight away, 2 staff came out to help us with our luggage. Then, another staff member comes in and greets you with tea. Check in was smooth and the staff were more than happy to help us with questions about our itinerary. The staff helped us carry our luggage into the room and the room is accurately described - very clean. Since they had more room, they even upgraded up to the family room for FREE. They even have a restaurant and it's reasonably priced as well, so we didn't bother eat outside the hotel. When you're eating you get a lovely view of the pool and scenery. Highly recommended.

Couldn’t be happier with our stay, the staff were friendly and accommodating, with exceptional English and real local knowledge. Nothing was too difficult for them and our driver they arranged was excellent. And the location itself was perfect. Can’t say enough good things!

Excellent Boutique Hotel
This small hotel was a great find. Amy and the staff at Tea Cozy were all so helpful and friendly, addressing all of our needs. We upgraded our original reservation to one of the rooms in the new building overlooking the pool. We would highly recommend one of these spacious rooms; definitely worth the additional cost. Speaking of pool, this hotel had the only outdoor pool we found during our China travels. It sure was nice to cool off after our biking and rafting excursions. The restaurant overlooked the pool and both overlooked the beautiful mountains. All meals we had at the restaurant were excellent. In fact, we ate virtually all our meals there. Amy and staff helped us with booking transportation, bamboo raft trip, and show. Tea Cozy also had bikes available. We biked along the bike path that ran between the Yulong River and rice fields to Moon Hill for hiking.

Isolated small hotel
Nice small boutique but the hotel is located in the “reserved” area by the government which not all taxi can go in and out for a certain period of time. The locations is 15 mins away from the busy west street (full of tourists). But the staff there are generally nice and helpful. Also, there’s a pool which is perfect for this hot weather.

Wonderful from start to finish!
Amazing from start to finish! My little family of four was in heaven at the Tea Cozy! What a wonderful and fitting name for this little boutique hotel. We arrived quite late in the night, but the staff at the hotel already had our dinner order prior to arrival. Three staff members warmly welcomed us at our car when we arrived. The quickly gathered our luggage, brought us inside and got us seated on the garden patio for dinner. Dinner was delicious! Once finished they escorted us to our room which already had all of the luggage in it. That was wonderful since we were on the 3rd floor, and there isn’t an elevator. The 2 bedroom accommodations were so cozy and spacious! Our children had their own space with 2 beds, and my husband and I had a private room. The beds were AMAZING!!!! So comfortable!!!!! I have to mention the beautiful pool with a view. What a place to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature around you’ we would absolutely return to this lovely hotel!

Outstanding Stay
This is one of those hotels you remember for years to come. Our experience here was epic. All aspects of hospitality were cared for and recognized. Our first night was reserved in the old wing of the hotel. Take head, they have 5+ stories with no elevator. The room, or rooms be exact, was very spacious. One room with a bed the size of two doubles, as well as a room that included two separate double beds. The cleanliness was moderate. The combined double bed was amazing! We slept so well and woke up refreshed. Our final day involved taking hotel bicycles along the river and through the rice fields. We saw water buffalo, white egrets, pigs, and rice farmers knee-deep in their work. A very memorable experience of our trip through China involved their complimentary dumplings class. Just my wife and I worked with the hotel chefs in building and stuffing individual dumplings! We had such a fun time and they laughed at our awkwardness in attempting to match their dumpling making skills. Later that afternoon, the wait staff brought out the cooked dumplings to us as we lounged around the pool. The hotel also offers a complimentary tea ceremony, Chinese calligraphy, and tai chi class. By the end, we did not want to leave this place. We were hugging the staff and had tears in our eyes when we left. To stay here again, would be a dream come true. Thank you, Tea Cozy Hotel! Meine Frau, unser 8 jähriger Sohn und ich haben Ende März (leider nur...!) 2 Nächte im Tea Cozy verbracht. Im Nachhinein hätten wir unsere Reise anders geplant und im bezaubernden Yangshuo mindestens zwei Tage länger eingeplant. Chinesen sind im Allgemeinen sehr freundlich, besonders zu Kindern. Das was wir im Tea Cozy an Gastfreundschaft erlebt haben, stellt jedoch alles andere in den Schatten. Ganz klar ein Highlight jeder Chinareise.

Casual, but yet tidy and clean. Friendly & helpful staff. Reasonable food standard. Great price for the money. We will definitely go back and do more exploration in the vicinity. Can't ask for much more.

This is an amazing hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. They make you feel at home and serve delicious food from their kitchen. Amy was very helpful with suggestions on where to go and what to do and made arrangements. They also have bicycles that allow you to explore the beautiful surroundings.
