Spring break 2023

My granddaughter is the one who enjoyed swimming this break and I cleaned up dishes that was dirty so I could cook why are we charged so high a cleaning fee I had to whip up table, counters, pots, glasses, cups, silverware. We had a good break other than the above. Room was 1 bedroom 2 bunk beds and a couch that made out to a queen size bed that was big enough for us . Plenty of bath towels and wash cloths no pot holders only 1 dish towel so bring your own.

Great for small group

We enjoyed staying here. It’s on the ground floor which made it nice for going out to the beach or other things. They had sand toys, a couple of umbrellas and one beach chair which was great. But we could’ve used another beach chair or two. Things we needed but weren’t supplied: an iron (they did have an ironing board), a broom to sweep up the sandy messes, a roll of trash bags (only had one so we made due with Walmart sacks), and bathroom spray. Lol. The bedroom comforter had a couple of spots on it. Not sure what they were. Overall, it was great! Just bring condiments if you plan to cook. They did provide a couple of dishwasher tabs and a package of laundry detergent. It was quiet at night. Beach is beautiful! Oh, the washcloths felt like sandpaper so bring your own if you can. 😀

Infested

After getting the door open (code sent did not work) I immediately noticed mosquitoes in the unit. We killed as many as we could (only inside no issues outside) and the unit next door complained of the same problem. We stayed only 2 nights and my child was eaten up, it looks like he had the chicken pox. I'm from MS and deal with mosquitoes daily, this was an infestation of the plumbing or something inside. This was not natural and should have been prevented. When your child is injured by negligence, it cuts deep and will never be forgotten. VRBO VACASSA both lost my trust this vacation. Negligence at it's finest, I'm sure this will be lost and the next poor family will have the same problem.

First floor was fabulous

We had a wonderful trip staying here. Having a ground level unit was amazing since we have small children. The unit was fairly clean. If this unit had a few updates like the Master bedroom mattress and some better kitchen accessories for cooking it would have been perfect. The twin beds in the hallway were very large. A tall person could sleep in them very comfortably. The pools and hot tubs were very nice and the grounds were kept up very beautifully. Our kids saw dolphins, so many fish, and stingrays on our stay. They declared it the best vacation ever. I would rent this unit again.

Great condo

This condo was the perfect size for our family of 5 (kids ages 3, 6, and 9). There was room for our toddler bed in the bedroom and our older 2 took turns sleeping on the top bunk. The condo was also very close to the beach. It was perfect! We would love to come back.

Not as advertised

The property listed several amenities that were not available. There were indoor hot tubs and saunas that were not available due to some buildings being condemned or under construction. The outdoor hot tubs seemed to not actually be heating. None of this was disclosed in the listing. The unit itself was pretty much as described with the exception of broken items (microwave and barstool) and uncomfortable mattresses on the bunks and sleeper sofa.

Very nice property.

Very easy process. A bit far to Gulf Shores (12 miles) but not Beach access is great. Property next door still under repair from hurricane.

Upgrade, deep clean and maintenance needed!

The floors were not cleaned! We swept the condo because there was still sand on the floor. Also, there was a partially eaten cooked wiener on the floor behind one of the chairs. Evidently, they didn't mop either because our feet were always black after walking in the condo, even after taking showers and staying in for the night. We had to wash all the cookware and utensils before use because they were not clean. The only things clean were the plates and glassware. The coffee pot didn't work properly (however I did manage to make my coffee), was cracked on the controls and the microwave had a cracked door. The dryer broke Thursday evening and I called in a request at 7:30AM Friday morning. No one called or came to check on the dryer. So, when we went to go eat, I stopped by where I checked in and they said they didn't even see a maintenance request. They put one in for me and about 30 minutes later called me and told me the belt was broke and it would be a few days to get the part in, I was leaving the next morning. So, we had to find a place to dry our clothes. The bed was not comfortable! It was noisiest and the smallest queen size bed I have ever slept on and to top that off, the sheets were scratchy. The dresser had numerous drawers that were broken. I fixed one and put it back on it's track. This condo is in dire need of some updates! I arrived earlier than expected, about 12:30PM because I wanted to beat the storm, Barry, and not drive in heavy rains. When I arrived at check-in, I was given a pass to get my parking pass, but not keys to the condo since I wasn't to check in until 4:00PM. They told me they would call when the condo was ready. They called me at 4:11PM, I was sitting in their lobby. I could give this 4 stars because of the outside amenities. There are plenty of pools and hot tubs and the grounds are kept clean. However, the hot tub jets could have been turned up with more jetting power and the kiddie pool was not functioning. I gave this 2 stars because of cleanliness and conditions of the amenities inside the condo.

My kids and I had a great time! The condo was perfect. It was true to the description and pictures.

It was easy from booking to checkout. The condo was perfect for my kids and I! Unfortunately we checked in after 5:00 so I failed to get brochures on things nearby. I saw them in the office on my way out. Everything was great! We drove into town the first two nights but then found the Hidden Village and loved it. The pools were clean and it was a very nice set up out back. The swings are a nice touch especially in the windy nights. The one and only thing I’d wished for was better toilet paper. But that was an easy fix! Thanks for a fun and relaxing atmosphere for my vacation!

FYI

The property was well maintained. The pools & property were clean! The one thing I wish I had known was the distance from restaurants. It was nice to be away from the crowds for beach time. Just be aware that the most activities are about a 20 min drive. The unit itself was overall clean. There were some stains on the pillow shams & curtains over the sliding glass door. Also, we couldn’t get the glass door to look. Thankfully, there was a bar for security. The couch & chairs in the living room & the mattress on the queen bed need to be updated. They were a little worn. It was nice being on the ground floor. With 2 children, it was easy to let them run back to the room if needed. No waiting for the elevators! Overall our stay was good.

Nice place

The condo was in good shape and the bunk beds were surprisingly big enough for my 6 ft son to sleep on.. The unit is spacious and the master bed was very comfy. We did have to wait on the unit till 6pm to get in. We were supposed to be in at 4pm but they were behind in cleaning the unit. Such a late check was tough with grocery’s and cooking. We ended up eating out on site at Sassy Bass. Food was very good!
