This house worked well for our long weekend with family. The beach was beautiful. The stairs are pretty steep if you have elderly parents with you.

Large family vacation

We were disappointed that although the listing indicated sleeps 20, there was no room for 20 people to socialize, eat together, sit outside together. It did sleep 20 comfortably, but no room to be together otherwise. The agency was very kind and quick to respond to messages.

Overall we had a great trip. The house was in a great location. For enough away from the condos and traffic to be very quiet but close enough to get to everything we needed easily. The house had plenty of space for all of our family which was a lot. The only negatives were the outside and especially around the pool area. It was obvious that one side of the duplex had gotten some upgrades and one side had not. There were weeds growing on the pool deck and the whole area needed some repairs and cleaning.

Don’t do it!

We booked this house for a week. The whole house needs DEEP cleaned and updated. Lots and lots of mold. Contacted the supervisor. He came by once then never heard from him again even after trying to reach out again. The smell of the nasty bowl of leaking water under the kitchen sink is atrocious. Blood on walls. I can go on and on. The pool lights don’t work and had electricity running to them and shocked if you got close to it.

Best part was location & cost

The location was perfect. The house needs work. When you walk in the door, you are hit with that musty mildew odor. New floors and washer/ dryer. Everything else needs a deep clean and upgrade. Pool area cracked, weeds grown up with sticker bushes and water hose to wash the sand off your feet did not work. Needed more towels. For our group that was older it was too many stairs. No board walk to the beach but it was still pretty close and beautiful!

Perfect Beach Getaway

For a family that needed some rest & relaxation, Sunrise fit the bill. What we wanted was family time & we enjoyed it at the beach everyday. Yes, like every home the property has some wear & tear but if you are looking for a nice affordable beachfront property- this is it!

Great Location & Floor Plan

We loved the floor plan. More than enough room for our family of 12. Overall it was a great vacation and the location on the beach was wonderful. The pool was a bonus & was refreshing after a day on the beach. Kitchen was fully equipped. Negatives-The property floors were not clean when we arrived. Sand was everywhere and there were hairballs/dirt in the corners of most rooms & under the bed. It was apparent the floors had not been swept in some time. The cabinets and drawers in the bathrooms needed to to be wiped out. The Wi-Fi was horrible, and we had issues working the TVs. The property needs some updating. Master bathroom lights were rusted and the air vents were gross. The AC on top floor was struggling. Outside of property needs some paint. Area fence around the pool deck needs some work. Couch in living room needs to be replaced.

Was ok inside needs updating on beds

Well bedroom on main floor the grandson slept in woke up covered in big bites of some kind.. the. Daughter did not know about it she used the extra blanket from that room niw she has bites all over her. Have a doc apt when we get home they are so bad. Ceiling was leaking from upstairs bathroom all over kitchen table you could tell it had already been fixed once.. our bed broke in middle of night looked under it.. the middle support bar was held together with zip ties. Called manager about all these issues. All she said was oh, im sorry... not well let me give you a discount or coupon for you next trip or anything???? Wonder if owners know how poorly tge property management company is caring for their place???

The listing description has been changed since we booked our stay, it is more realistic now, but the place will still not hold 21 comfortably. The beach is beautiful, there was a lot of seaweed in the water, but that cleared our last day and the water was awesome then. As for the house, the internet did not work, even though they came out and spent the majority of Monday in the house working on it. The bathrooms were gross, tubs had to be scrubbed before we would take a shower in them and all had mold. We had to kill several of those big flying roaches in the house. The A/C worked intermittently, we had one night where it was 83 in the house, they were supposed to come work on it, but never did and never communicated as to why they never showed up. The pool was nice, but the deck was overgrown with weeds and splintering. The stairs from the front door to the first floor were rotted and covered in mold. It is obvious the 2 sides of this duplex are owned separately, as the other side was painted nicely on the out side, and the deck was new and updated and no over grown weeds. You could clearly see where they stopped painting the outside of the house, and our side was all peeling and chipped. What a shame they did not keep up the maintenance on this house, had the ability to be great.

Great stay

The house is 4 stories with no elevator and it’s a hour from pensecola airport. It was reall clean and convenient to all the local shops and food less than 15 min anywhere. It’s literally foot steps from the beach. Perfect for a 3 families to stay

Five star location

Our family (5 adults, 2 teens, and 3 kids) stayed at Sunrise during our Spring Break. The location is five star- only a few miles to the attractions in Gulf Shores and easy to get to others in Orange Beach. The unit is a duplex, where the pool is shared with the other side. We were lucky to have another extended family with young kids next door and no issues sharing pool time. The pool isn’t heated but is in the sun until sundown. Easy access to the beach right outside the gate of the pool. The views from all the balconies were amazing - bring binoculars and you may even see dolphins (we did)! The pool area could use a small table for drinks / snacks but has plenty of chairs to sit in the sun or watch the kiddos swim. As far as the inside goes, the unit visually is well maintained. The kitchen and main living room are recently updated. The cooking supplies aren’t the best, which isn’t uncommon for rentals (pots and pans were subpar). Most of the bedrooms are well sized and the convenience of private bathrooms was great. The double bunk bed room is tight with minimal space to store luggage and a very small dresser. The third floor room is huge! Most of the closets do not have hangers-so bring your own if you need to hang anything. Plenty of towels for showers (bring your own for beach). The beds are just decently comfortable. Also, be prepared for lots of stairs, four large sets of stairs from ground floor up to third floor. We easily met our step goals!! The description says sleeps 21- the sleeping part may be accurate but the living area and kitchen would be very tight for that many people (especially adults). The dining table only seats 8, with seats on chairs/sofa for 7, and two counter stools. But if you plan to spend most of the time at the beach or pool this would matter. The driveway would also be tight for six larger vehicles. The management company is very attentive and addressed two issues we had promptly. They also noted the unit is in the process of other outside updates which are needed-from the beach the unit stands out as needing TLC compared to the neighbors. Overall with some updates this unit could easily be a five star.

Spring Break

The house is perfect for big groups. Inside there is a living room and kitchen, and other than that, it’s just a ton of bedrooms. The pool and pool area are very nice, and of course, the beach access was amazing. My personal favorite part of the house were the porches, though. It was so nice to hang out outside, but in the shade. I’d definitely stay here again.
