West Beach w/ Views and Pool! Pickleball!

The Highlights

Relax on the porch swing while enjoying the sights and sounds of the glorious surf. For times when it's not a beach day, you'll love the convenience of the pool (shared with other side of duplex). This 3 bedroom, 3 bath Duplex is the perfect location for your group of 12 as well as your fur friend! Pro Tip: Book this home for Hang Out Fest or Shrimp Fest and take advantage of the great location! If your group size is large, consider booking both sides of the duplex!

The Space

Gulf Winds West features warm, inviting furnishings throughout the home. You’ll sink into the comfy couch while you relax to watch the flat screen TV. The light, airy floor plan flows right into the kitchen and dining area, which has seating at the table for four, and room for three more at the breakfast bar. The full kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare simple meals if you choose to dine in.

Also on the main level, you'll discover a bedroom with a 2 Full/Full Bunks with bath attached to bedroom and entrance from hall. On the second level is a King master bedroom with private bath and balcony access. The third bedroom features a King bed and private bath.

2nd Floor: King bedroom with private bath, King bedroom with private bath and balcony access.

**Private Pickleball Court with equipment!!

The pool is open year round but it is not heated. While we make every effort to keep the pool operational and available for use, sometimes issues outside our control arise and the pool may not be available for use for all or part of a stay.

* Renter must be at least 25 years of age. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Great location

Loved the location, away from crowds but close to beach and town, had a great time, pool was wonderful when you can’t take your dogs on the beach, clean, lots of room, just great for our getaway! Would recommend to others

Short walk to the beach

The house fit all our needs and the price was right. We had a couple of problems while we were there but they were addressed quickly by the management company. There were plenty of dishes, cups and utensils. Pool was cool but clean. I would suggest the deck on the pool be looked after a bit. There are many screws that are either backing out. I was concerned someone was gonna catch a foot on one. But really its not about the house, its the location and the beach. We had a wonderful time.

Need a better handyman.

Overall the stay was wonderful. There was a note about the broken table on the porch, however the dining table collapsed in the middle of a card game. We had tools to repair it but the construction of it was questionable. Additionally, there was paint dripped all over, in sinks, showers, tub, and counters. We had fun anyway.

Beach Vacay

We enjoyed our stay overall. The pool was great, my 2 yr old had a blast. The cleanliness was questionable. The floors had clearly not been swept with dirt and random trash. There was no indoor trash can for the kitchen (we thought that odd), so we did purchase one. The linens did appear clean. It could definitely use some updating. Getting to the beach was a bit of a walk but not too bad. Decent for the price.

Overall a good stay

We had a good visit check in was late and I had to call manager to get a code due to some issues but over all we enjoyed the stay and the house was clean property manager was very responsive.

Place was great especially for family vacation. The pool was a plus since there were red flags on the beach. Only issue is that the pool water was warm like bath water but pool is an above ground pool so I don’t think you can change that. Plenty of space for the family and huge plus it is pet friendly.

Nice place

We just left our 5 night stay here! Overall, it was clean - comfortable beds (always a plus). Nice that each room has its own bathroom! The pool was a plus! We didn’t do any cooking but kitchen was stocked if you are wanting to do any! The front porch was great to sit on! All the stairs (up to house which I know is inevitable) and also inside were a little tough on my parents but they made it :) We probably could have loaded up our wagon and walked to the beach access points but we chose to drive and pay to park just for ease! Minor inconveniences: only two trash cans in the whole house - would have been nice to have one in each bathroom and a small one in the laundry room! Door to the upstairs bedroom was finicky when trying to open it and the bathroom door didn’t lock. The door at the bottom of the inside steps was pretty annoying to try to open! Instructions for the tv would be nice, too - there were 4-5 different remotes - we didn’t do much tv watching but with two smaller kiddos, they appreciated some inside down time! Overall, our family enjoyed our trip to Gulf Shores!!

Family Fun

My family has become spread out over 4 states, this vacation allowed all of us to spend time together. The house was roomy enough to accommodate us and was close to the beach and other attractions. The weather didn’t cooperate (double red flags and a storm) but we adjusted a few plans and rolled with it. The check in/out was the easiest I’ve ever encountered. The manager responded in timely manner to my messages.

For what we needed it was great

Pros: Pool, large rooms w/ comfortable beds, full bathrooms, nice laundry room, and working appliances. We had number fall off the key pad, the manager responded promptly and it was fixed. Perfect for the money spent Cons: WiFi spotty (nothing anybody could do, has there was problems other places), master bathroom shower needs to be replaced, under the master bed a sock and water bottle were found. The kitchen cabinets could use a makeover. The beach access is walkable, the “East” access is the closest, however maybe difficult for younger kids. The beach accesses do have paid parking that is good for 24 hours, the cost is $15. Overall this place served its purpose for us. We would stay again.

Was in town for a wedding. Clean and comfortable. Only 1 issue. Someone left the water hose running in the pool. I noticed it on Sunday morning and turned it off. Weather was too cool to enjoy the pool, but it looked great.

Dirty sheets with urine on them on pullout sofa bed. Dog bones and peanut shells on floor.

The urine sheet on the pullout sofa was deplorable and stunk very bad. Dog bones and peanut shells around and under sofa. Chairs are stained and dirty. Had sticker burrs on steps and inside of beds. Hurt me and the kids. Loved the pool but won’t stay here again. I was afraid none of the other sheets were washed either so I washed everything all night the first night. I did not change piss stained sofa bed as I wasn’t touching that I just put it back up. I was embarrassed I had rented such a dirty place for my family. You might need a new maid I don’t know.also very hot upstairs but note said if I lowered the a/c I would have to buy them a new one! Not happening. Your a/c needs a charge not my credit card!

Great Location!

The house was in a great location and my kids loved the pool! Only complaint is the furniture could use an upgrade it was broken down and dirty. Otherwise, we loved our stay!

Beautiful beach location

Just across the road is the beach and it is spectacular. The house is ideal for a big group, especially with kids, ours were in the pool for hours. It’s getting a little worn with time and could use some updates, but it’s clean and the location is fantastic.
