Let me start by saying I have NEVER left a one star review before but this situation warranted it. Where do I begin?The broken glass (multiple beer bottles) and trash in the driveway were our first sign this wasn’t going to go well. Other issues include:- No toilet paper- THE FRIDGE DIDNT WORK- Dirty sheets on the pull out bed- No blanket, sheets, or pillow for pull out bed- Master bedroom had an eaten apple core under the bed along with hair ties, lotion, and a spoon Traverse responded quickly, but in weird ways, to these complaints. We never received any toilet paper. When asking for the linens for the pull out bed, sheets were never delivered. They brought an entire new fridge to us….and left the old one. This made the small house even more cramped and also made me suspect the owner KNEW the fridge wasn’t functional. I was told someone from traverse would be reaching out to “make it right” but I haven’t heard anything. I would have been satisfied with a refund of the cleaning fee because clearly the place was NOT cleaned.

Home in Quiet and Friendly neighborhood!

We stayed here while in town for a family funeral. This home is conveniently located to the places we needed to be in the Hampton area. There were plenty of sidewalks for walking from the home. We even walked to the water which afforded us a beautiful view of the bay. We felt that the per night rate was reasonable, but once you add in the fees and taxes the property became over priced. However, we needed somewhere that would accomodate us and our two well behaved dogs, so that limited our options. So in this instance, this home was perfect for us!

This was a fishing trip to newport news area. Although the fishing wasn't that great duetoweather, the place itself was nice and comfortable overall.

I had some minor issues with the property, like the grass needed to be mowed and there was no extra sheets and no sheets on one of the beds. But overall it was good and I would stay again.
