“Lovely place. This is a rustic place in the middle of nowhere and is fantastic! Worth all the travel. Staff were amazing. Food was superb. I had the giant Yorkshire pudding with beef bourginon. “We were walking the Pennine Way and stopped off at Bongate House after reaching Dufton and after walking/backpacking for most of the day. We had a very friendly welcome from Ann who on arrival looked after our every need. Breakfast was ample and tasty. The property suited our needs perfectly. Thank you Ann!”

“We just loved our stay here at Augill Castle. It was like being in a movie. Quirky and charming, beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed wine in the sitting room, a lovely dinner and breakfast. Our room was so beautiful, a very comfortable bed, and the hosts and staff were all so lovely. A very memorable stay!”
