  • Real log cabin right on Lake Harwinton. Beautiful natural wood walls throughout with a modern kitchen, updated bathroom, and flooring throughout. Pets are also welcome with a paid pet fee. Here are the highlights:

    > 1 Bedroom with a Queen bed with super comfy mattress plus 2 large easy chairs and 2 child's cots in the living room.
    > 2 Smart TVs (bedroom and living room) and wifi throughout the cabin
    > Kitchen with stove, fridge, and sink and all dishware, cups, silverware, etc provided
    > 1 Bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet
    > Enclosed sun porch overlooking the lake - great for rainy days, board games, etc.
    > Dedicated workspace with a desk and chair overlooking the lake
    > Large back deck with a BBQ and seating, again over looking the lake
    > Backyard fire pit
    > 2 kayaks + paddles and life vests - launch right from the back yard
    > Dock - great for fishing and swimming

    This is not a place for large groups, but it's great for a family or a couple looking for a romantic getaway

    Sheets and towels ARE included with your stay. They are washed before and after every guest. We also provide a starter pack of paper towels, toilet paper, toiletries, cleaning products, soaps, detergent, sponges, k cups, nespresso pods, and tea!

Everything was just as described. Hosts checked in to see if we got in okay. The cottage was great. We just rented it on the very hottest days of July and left early to go home because the ac could not overcome the heat. Lake is charming singing bullfrogs, jumping fish and melodic birds.

Cabin was peaceful and cozy. Shower pressure was minimal and bathroom smelled of septic - to by expected of a lakeside cabin I suppose. Not enough towels, sheets, and pillows for stay on night one. Once notified on day two (came in late night one), host had more delivered which was helpful. Beautiful view of the lake from the porch.

Very nice spot on lake. Hosts were great and responsive. Cabin is small but nice and clean. Not a lot of room but well laid out for enjoying the lake view and has everything needed for a cozy getaway. Pet friendly and our pets loved it. Surprisingly the allowed area for dogs to walk outside is very limited with close neighbors property and no walking on the paved roads. Kayaking around lake was beautiful and easy. We would visit again.

Serene stay, most peaceful waterfront property ever! Cabin is tiny but fine for two adults. This was very convenient for our weekend plans in Terryville (15 min) and Torrington (10 min). Unfortunately, there was some problem with the internet connection, so limited use. Host immediately addressed the situation.

The cabin and property were in pristine condition and immaculately clean. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked, linens and extra blankets/pillows were clean and plentiful, kayaks were in great shape and easy to navigate around the lovely and tranquil lake. Watching great blue heron take off from the shore and frogs croak away in pond, while sitting around the fire pit and barbecuing on the grill...we never wanted to leave! This cabin on Lake Harwinton is a hidden gem that delivers a full vacation experience with the convenience of being close to major CT cites and an hour from the Bridgeport ferry!

Lakeside Cabin

A perfect compromise for a family where a tent may be a little too rough. All you could ask from the great outdoors. My daughter loved the camping beds, caught a fish off the dock. Was great to bring the dog along. Kayaks were great. Perfect location!

Wonderful Cabin on Lake Harwinton

Lovely cozy cabin on Lake in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful wood paneling and attention to detail. Perfect for intimate getaway but, can also accommodate a family. Well equipped kitchen. We love having all our meals in the all seasons porch and sitting by the lake reading our favorite book. We fish off the backyard dock and caught some sunfish and a nice bass. We had great communication with hosts and would love to come back next year.

Very pretty lake and a nice little cabin

We loved it. It's a real wood cabin - you don't see many of those in Connecticut, so this was pretty novel for us. It's got all the modern amenities though - internet, TV, etc. Clean and great for a small family. We had 2 adults and 2 kids. Nice bed for adults, kids had the air mattress in the living room and they loved "camping". We would stay again.
