“Downtown Aarhus is compact, making the hotel location ideal for getting everywhere. We walked all over the city and were also able to hop on the bus or light rail, as needed. Although the ambiance, decor, and architecture of the hotel stand out, the best aspect is the staff. They are engaging, knowledgeable, friendly, multilingual, and just an amazing group of people.”
“The hotel was under renovation and this was not notified anywhere and in any moment during the reservation process on the hotels.com portal. I contacted the hotel for info and they just sent me a note asking to bring a credit card at the moment of the check-in but no advise regarding the ongoing renovation works, the fact the sauna was closed and the breakfast was so poor like I have never seen in any other hotel.”

“Vi er et ældre ægtepar der havde 2 overnatningen. Beliggenheden er perfekt i det centrale Aarhus, Aros, Den Gamle by, Musikhuset og mange spisesteder i gåafstand. Beskyttet parkering på hotellet mod betaling. Værelserne er ikke så store, men funktionelle, med køleskab og komfur. Alt var pænt og rent og servicen i top. Der er adgang til lille altan fra alle værelser, vi var dog uheldige at nogle naboer var rygere hvilket var eriterende. ”

"I must admit I have mixed feelings towards the Atlantic Hotel.
The location is great, in front of the Dokk1, close to the channel (very lively at night), just 3 mins away from the bus station and 5 from the train station.
The room was very large and overall comfortable, with a large TV (but you need to include the sleep function: the proper key is in the remote controller, but it does no work), but with some strange flows. No fridge at all, nor - and it is far more weird - no phone in the room: to contact the hotel you have to call with your phone, or to go downstairs. Rather odd, indeed.
Even more weird: the cleaning of the room is optional, and you have to opt-in, the night before, till 11 PM. I understand the environmental ground behind this choice, but it's nevertheless very strange. An opt-out solution might perhas work better, without giving the impression that this is a way to save money with the cleaning at the expenses of an absent-minded guest (I was not alerted of that as of the check-in). Furthermore, the room is pretty dark: more light might be good, and a general switcher next to the bed even more (I had to switch off each device separately).
The breakfast is simply great, very rich and high quality, with a wonderful view from the 10th floor. Well done; the table reservation system for the weekend worked very well.
I would be please to visit Hotel Atlantic again in the future; if they take care of these flaws, it would be an even greater pleasure."
