Wonderful condo with amazing views
Our family of 6 plus an infant stayed for a week Feb 2024. The condo had everything we needed and was very clean and spacious - it even had a pack and play for the baby plus beach chairs and toys! The views were spectacular - all the bedrooms had a view as well. We loved the resort and the boardwalk that ran in front of it. The beach was very nice and we enjoyed seeing whales from the beach and from our deck! The kitchen had everything we needed. We stopped at the Costco by the airport before heading to the condo for basics like milk, eggs, chicken, beef, and libations as their price are pretty much the same as on the mainland. The location was nice as well - family members played golf at two different clubs, we shopped at Whalers village, went to a luau and enjoyed a whale watch with the Pacific Whale Foundation! Feb is great month to visit if you want to see whales and their babies! Don’t hesitate to stay in this condo and resort. We love the island of Maui and the people of Maui - it is beautiful in every way❤️❤️❤️

Perfect condo for couples
We extended a work trip with our friends. The condo was just as described. Having three king size bedrooms each with their own bathroom was amazing. The kitchen was well equipped and easy for our group to cook. Loved that there were spices left so we didn’t have to go purchase those. The trifold lanai doors made for wonderful evenings watching the sunset and many whales. The location was perfect for sightseeing adventures in any direction. We loved having Dukes on property. The rental process was easy with Sean sending so much information to help us plan our trip. The luxury of having bellman always there to help was a great benefit. We can’t say enough about the manager Monty how quick he responded to any question and went above and beyond with a beach towel issue that was not his mistake but he quickly made sure we were taken care of. We would definitely recommend this property and would come back.

Jaquis celebrates
We were a group of six that came to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, new jobs, work certifications, retirement and so much more! Two of our group had never been to Maui and they are already planning a returning trip. The whale watching was off the charts we did a tour but we could watch the whales off the balcony. Lounge areas were more than sufficient and the beach front was perfect! ☀️🌴 Thank you 😊 we will be back again in two years! Road to Hana tour was great!

A Great Stay
We had a great stay at the property. It is in a good location and has good amenities. We had a few minor issues at the property and the property manager, Monty, took care of them very quickly. There are few minor issues with the property that if changed could make it a five star for us. I wish the rating scale was different because the property is much more than four stars; it’s just not quite five stars. But, we would definitely stay there again.

Absolute Perfection
The condo we where in was amazing had all the amenities you could ask for. The view was amazing we saw Whales breaching and slapping there tales from our lanai which is very large. We had a 2 1/2 year old and the pack and play provided was perfect for her to sleep in. There was beach chairs and floaties to use. Each bedroom had its own washroom and shower. Cooking was easy with provided dishware and pots and pans. Coffee maker is a Cuisinart so buy the triangular paper filters. We where in condo H525. Thank you Sean and Monty for making our stay very easy and very welcoming. We will be back.

Beautiful setting, extremely clean well appointed condo
We loved the condo, every detail is taken care of inside. High end appliances, extremely clean, and communication and support from the owner was top notch. The only reason I rated the overall 4 stars is at the end the lack of amenities at the building and area make it hard to justify the extreme cost. I would highly recommend to any family that intends to cook most meals and is not looking for building amenities(only attached store was only open 7-12 with no food options) this place offers you everything else

Great Spot
We really enjoyed the views and relaxing atmosphere of the VRBO. Plenty of space for 6 of us to spread out, make breakfast, and enjoy coffee on the patio with a great view of the resort and the ocean!

Beautiful property and condo
The location was excellent, property beautiful and condo perfect for our family. Gorgeous views. The owner and property manager were very responsive to any questions. The condo was fully equipped with beach toys, chairs, laundry and dish soap, kitchen supplies, towels etc. No need to bring anything, just clothes! We would definitely stay here again in Maui!

Just Excellent
This property was exactly as promised. It's in a great location, it's incredibly well maintained and the property manager made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We were impacted by the recent wildfire in Lahaina and had to evacuate at 3am but it was done safely and things remained orderly. Our hosts, Sean and Christine stayed in communication with us and made sure we were safe and they were fantastic to work with. I would highly recommend their place to anyone looking to stay on the island. I definitely plan to return.

Great view. The info here is 100% Correct
Took the family. 5 adults, 2 kids. Loved the pools and beach. Kid’s snorkeled and saw lots of fish. Kids loved feeding the cats along the beach. I used the grill twice and cooked up some prawns, chicken and fish. Yummy. Saw a sea turtle along beach. We also did glass blowing, a sunset dinner cruise and a luau. Dukes is a great restaurant and has a great staff.

We love staying at this property and this particular unit was perfect for our family. First off, the owners were very responsive to my email inquires before arriving and their onsite manager also reached out in case we needed anything. The unit was clean, the view was breathtaking, the beds were so comfortable and the A/C unit works very well when needed. There was plenty of space for everyone in our party. We will definitely be back!

As Described!
We took our family of four to Maui for a week and searched dozens of units nearly a year in advance. We were not disappointed with the selection of this unit. The pictures were on point, the location is either a short walk or a short drive to everything you need. The unit had all the amenities to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay. Sean and his team were very responsive and gave great direction on utilizing the unit and also provide some inside tips to further enjoy your time in Maui. We stayed at the tail end of the what appears to be a massive paint job of the property (looks great) and the property should look even more enjoyable within weeks as the lifts are soon moving off property. Perfect space for larger or extended family
We chose this condo, as it was very hard to find an adequate space for an extended family of 8. We had middle-aged adults, grandparents, and children, and this was perfect. The location was stunning, and Sean and his property manager made our stay easy. The condo was clean and stunning, and we were able to utilize the kitchen for some great meals! The beach was fantastic, and if you want to snorkel, walk a bit to the first Westin hotel where you have access to an amazing reef!

This condo had everything we needed to start our daily adventures, relax and sleep comfortably at the end of the day, and/or relax on the beach on the couple lazy days we left in our itinerary. A bathroom for every bedroom. Comfortable and beautiful condo with an amazing view and access to all area activities. Garage parking was a pleasant and convenient bonus. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful Condo!
We loved our time at Houna Kai!! This Condo was beautifully appointed and very comfortable for the six adults in our party. The views from the balcony can't be beat and we loved how the windows in the main living could be completely pushed to the side to make the most of the beautiful weather. Check-in went smoothly and was quick. Having the beach chairs was a great feature. We loved walking and running along the boardwalk that runs parallel to the beach. We didn't have any issues, but we were a bit disappointed that the property was in the middle of a painting project and so our view during the day included looking at two huge cranes...I paid extra for this unit so that we could look at the ocean, not at work equipment. So, be sure to ask if there is any work scheduled for the property. Also, one of the condos above us was having tile removed...the noisy work was only happening between 10 am - 3pm and we were mostly gone during that time, but again, not the most relaxing thing to have going on during a vacation. Just be sure to ask about work happening on the property so you can set your expectations accordingly.

Really great location. Close to grocery stores. The unit itself is fantastic. Great views of the ocean. Most part very clean and tidy. Beach was lovely. The resort was nice however there were a few days that one pool and hot tubs were closed that led to the remaining pools being overcrowded. A lot of BBQ’s around the property. Owners were very quick to respond and a delight to deal with! Would very very highly recommend this property!!!

The unit is beautiful and the view is breathtaking!! Everything about this place was amazing and we would 100% stay here again! All the basics were supplied, toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, spices, coffee filters, soaps, etc. The beach supply closet was impressive!! Enough beach chairs for 5+ people, umbrellas, a cooler, sand toys, boogie boards. Kitchen was gorgeous and the rooms were comfy! Can’t wait to come back and stay here again! Mahalo!

Lovely place to stay. This was our 4th trip to Maui but first time with VRBO. The communication prior to our arrival and during our stay was very timely. The unit was very nice. It had almost everything thing we could want. We really appreciated the parking pass for the parking garage, the multi-plug chargers on the nightstands, and the views. We would definitely return. Just a couple of items could make it absolutely perfect- cushions for the furniture on the lanai, spray cleaner for the countertops, and a dish drying rack. Yes, it was hard to find things to talk about under areas of improvement. The dryer did take a very long time to dry the clothes (yes, small loads) but worked well overall. The area around the stove needs to be cleaned but again it was a top notch rental experience. The pools and beach were outstanding. We would recommend staying here and will probably stay here again in the future. Mahalo

Wonderful condo!
This condo had everything we needed for a group of 6 adults and 2 kids. The size of the condo was perfect! And the lanai was an amazing spot for us to gather for breakfast, sunsets, drinks, and even coloring with the kids. You can’t beat the view! And the amenities of the resort were amazing from the pools, to the gym, to Duke’s bar and restaurant. And every activity we did outside of the resort was within a 15 minute drive. The location was close to everything! The condo and resort were perfect for our Maui vacation!

Anniversary Trip in Paradise
Wow! Look no further…this is the perfect vacation spot! The views are absolutely breathtaking from every room! My husband and I were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary…and decided to take along our two boys (14 and 9), as well as, my parents. Our best vacation!!
We had our best family vacation here ever! And we go plenty of places. This honua kai condo is gorgeous with beautiful straight on views of pool then ocean beyond that! There were 8 of us and everyone loved this place! Grounds are immaculate, as is the condo. Staff in this resort and at Dukes is great!! This is a must stay kinda place! My kids are adults but this place is very welcoming to children too. 5/5 !!!

Truly a slice of paradise!
This gorgeous three bedroom/three bath condo is simply the best! It is beautifully appointed with lovely and comfortable furnishings and beds, high-end appliances, and the most incredible views from the lanai. It is located in a wonderful resort with all the amenities one could need. The owner was very kind and responsive to all of our questions before and during our stay. The condo is very open, airy, and spacious and there was a ton of room for our family of 5. We will definitely be back!

Great place to stay in Maui
Sean/ Christine were great hosts with prompt communication. The room had a beautiful view and was perfect for our needs. Monty was super helpful as well while we there. There was a cafe in the lobby with solid food options and smoothies. The beaches were super close and perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The one improvement is that the trash chute room (this is not in the room) could have been a little cleaner but that’s an issue with the condo complex itself. Overall I would definitely come back and stay here. Thanks Sean, Christine and Monty!!

As always, simply the best!
This is our third stay in this unit, our 4th at Honua Kai. It’s perfectly equipped with everything you need, including gorgeous views. The property manager was amazing - easy to get in contact with via text with so in the information we needed to check in and out. He even checked in mid stay just in case we needed anything. Five stars are not enough for how amazing this unit is.

Enjoyed our time in Hawaii! Beautiful view of the resort and ocean from the condo! Hosts provided a helpful planning guide. Appreciated the beach chairs and boogie boards! Amazing condo, especially for families!
We couldn't have been more pleased with this condo at the Honua Kai. The room is impeccable--new appliances and very clean. It has a beautiful view of the ocean. We also noticed that we couldn't hear neighbors, and hopefully they couldn't hear our 2 year old too! The property is so great for families with three pools, including a slide, Duke's right onsite, and plenty of room to run around and play. Our hosts were great with communication and they also had a few extra pool and beach toys that really helped. Couldn't recommend this option more!
