  • Located minutes from Hawera, McArthur Park is a lovely place to find rejuvenation, in a colorful peaceful location with inspiring views of Mt Taranaki amidst bird song. Enjoy a clean, spacious main bedroom with views of Mt Taranaki or a 2nd bedroom with rural views both accessing a kitchen area to enjoy a light breakfast with views of our famous mountain and sheep in the paddock below. Also enjoy your private entrance, guest lounge, sky tv, unlimited internet and a baby grand piano for you to play. For use of the 2nd bedroom there is an extra charge per person of $30.00 per night. Please note this property is not suitable for very young children. Please check our house rules of ages permitted......

Mountain views

Nice rural aspect of Hawera,yet easy to access town, had beautiful view of the mountain, very comfortable property, continental breakfast supplied, good selection of breakfast foods to choose from, perfect for us visiting family in Hawera, hosts had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, would recommend.

Clean, comfortable and quiet

We got a good nights sleep every night and enjoyed breakfast before making the most of our holiday. The location was beautiful and our host lovely. Highly recommended

Great location, great house, great hosts

We stayed in Hawera on our way to Wellington. The hosts were great, the house clean and fully accommodated for us to have a great rest. It was such a great, classic farm house that lifted our spirits after staying in motels.

Lovely country feel stay

This is a lovely quaint property. My cousin and I loved its beautiful views. Not far from the main town. Felt very welcomed from Christina on arrival.

Lovely hostess and partner. Upgraded Kiwi farmhouse and accommodation included bedroom(s), kitchen (limited cooking) bathroom and lounge. Wonderful gardens and very quiet. Would stay again any time.

WOW! 5 Stars on everything!

This place was amazing. We loved the view of the volcano and the cleanliness of the accommodations. The host was spectacular. We needed to wash some of our clothes and the host offered to wash them for us. I would definitely recommend this place and wished we could’ve stayed longer.

Beautiful Long Weekend Getaway Stay

Mc Arthur park was a delightful place to stay. Our hosts were wonderful and welcoming. It was so comfortable with the lovely kitchenette, and little snacks that were the extra little details. We had a lovely time. Thank you so much.

We visited NZ for the first time and staying at this cottage was truly the highlight of our entire trip. We had the best sleep in the comfortable, quiet, and spacious bedroom. The windows open to different views, including the host’s beautiful rose garden and the majestic Mount Taranaki. Kelly and Christina were warm, thoughtful, and made us feel completely at home. Highly recommended!

Excellent Views and hospitality

We felt right at home - the warm greeting on arrival to the special touches to make us welcome, let alone the ample continental breakfast supplies- my brother and I loved it. And then Mt Taranaki emerged from clouds - so close- and we were mesmerised. Thankyou for your hospitality!

Enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed our one night stay. Unfortunately the weather didn't let us get a good look at the mountain, but that's obviously outside the hosts' control.

Christine are Kelly are love. Awesome arrangements and so warmly treated. We want more such hosts. Beautiful house and beautiful people. Definitely looking forward to go there again.
