We do have new refurbished units at a little extra cost and we like to upgrade guests staying more than one night. All units are presented clean and comfortable.

I do not know of any motel that provides spreads, all rooms with kitchens should have a frypan but guests have been known to remove them so your room number would have helped us narrow down where the pan was missing from, good thing is you still get real milk in a glass bottle here!!!

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, I am guessing you stayed in one of the three rooms which the bathroom has not been modernized; We hope given the other scores you will come again as we are very much a work in progress having done 8 kitchen and nearly every bathroom along with carpet etc.

Thankfully we do not get elderly ladies with dogs who demand more of myself and staff than they would get in an aged care facility. The spa was well used by yourself on several occasions so can not have been that dirty given you were the first to use it in its new location. I was away at my brothers funeral three of the days you were here (I do apologise for that) but was advised by my staff of your demands and not to mention your toilet bag with $500 in it was returned to you free of charge.

Unfortunately not all studio rooms come with kitchens and as we were fully booked the weekend you stayed with us we could not give you a room with a kitchen, but the water in the bathroom sink is the same as elsewhere.

Thank you for your time to post feedback. We value feedback from guests. In this instance we feel some clarification on this booking is warranted. Regrettably the information the guest had on hand when arriving at the motel was a screen shot of a booking page from an email, NOT a booking confirmation as we see regularly. It was not in the name of the gentleman, in fact a females name. Furthermore, when using an online booking agency, channel managers then place the booking into our automated system, with Credit Card details supplied. This did not happen in this case, hence when the gentleman arrived we had no records of his booking or matching the piece of paper he held in his hand. The gentleman on arrival asked us to reserve more rooms for other family members, still without allowing the time for the process to happen at reception. He indicated he was in a rush and did not have the time to stop and sort the problem. We can only assume that the booking was not completed properly and the assumption the booking was completed is incorrect and no charges were made against any CC other than the gentleman's card at the counter when he was asked to return to the motel to provide his information, for the night he stayed. Sadly in the world today, we have to protect ourselves and ensuring when a guest arrives that all details are confirmed and legitimate is of paramount importance. We regret the circumstance of the gentleman's need to travel to Hawera, however we reject any inference we identified the gentleman as being associated with spurious activities. We can only offer our apologies that in this instance several factors led to a regrettable situation.
