This self contained cottage is located approximately 10km out of town. Hillview Cottage is the perfect place to stay to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and to explore all that the Flinders Ranges has to offer.

Easter in Hawker
The building and furniture are very dated. Not an issue in itself. But for old people the lounge chairs are too soft and low. The air conditioning in the kitchen does not enter the lounge dining space. It is an old through the wall rattler. Could do with ceiling fans, for extra ventilation. We were there for the Easter weekend, 25 metres away from the main homestead, at no stage did the owners make contact, to ascertain our wellbeing. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside, National Parks and Wilpena Pound, close enough to Quorn to enjoy a day out on the Pichi Richi Rail. The tariff is attractive compared to others in the area, especially as it is self-catering. Full size fridge, stove and washing machine are all available. The night sky is fantastic. Would I stay again? Yes!!

Geat cottage if you are looking for an authentic experience. Located on the homestead of a working property. Owners house was next door but they did not intrude. However the owner was extremely helpful when we needed any help. The cottage had everything we needed. Full fridge, oven, stove, coffee machine, microwave, stocked kitchen, washing machine. Easy access to Hawker and the Flinders. Beautiful sunsets and night skys. We will be back.... maybe not in the stormy season.

Flinders Ranges Summer Holidays
The little cottage was cute, and comfortably accommodated the 4 of us. There is an electric stove, fridge and comfortable beds, and fans in bedrooms, air conditioner in the living / kitchen area. The cottage is about 15 mins driver from Hawker. Hawker is the closest place to buy basic groceries, best to stock up in the summer from Port Agusta. The cottage provided us with a comfortable two night stay as we discovered the Flinders Ranges.

Comfortable stay

The serenity!
What a wonderful place to stay! The cabin is only about 8 km from Hawker but the place is utterly quiet and peaceful with views of the Flinders Ranges all around. Night sky to die for and as a special treat the farm's little dog and cat come over for visits. Never mind the decor's a little dated, it's very livable and surprisingly spacious. King bed a definite bonus.

Handy and comfortable
Basic but all you need, great location for further exploration of the Flinders. Friendly hosts and bonus cat and dog to greet you morning and evening.
