Perfect for a four generational vacation.
Ages 3 to 96 years greatly enjoyed a 1 week stay. The setting, layout and proximity to grocery shopping were perfect. Very comfortable and well equipped for our group of 8 to 12 staying over with 4 to 6 people visiting from another lakeside rental. The kayaks, rowboat and pontoon boat were great as were the numerous indoor and outdoor games. The large grill in back and smaller grill in front were great for burgers, brats, salmon. Great communication with owners. Avid fishermen might be disappointed. Some of us were plagued by bites from unseen insects?? Chiggers. Overall, a great experience hopefully to be repeated next year.

We had a very enjoyable time.
This "cabin" has all the amenities available. It was nice to have the paddle boat and kayaks included. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. We rented the pontoon which was a huge plus. Our family all had a great time.

Excellent stay in Hayward
Lake Point Lodge (the name on Google Maps) is a great place for a large family gathering. The house has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a rec room with a futon. The large lakefront deck is a perfect place to gather. The house is clean and well maintained. The owners live in the Hayward area and are readily available for questions. While there are kayaks and a row boat available, they also offered rental of a pontoon boat at a reasonable price. Lake Hayward is not the biggest lake in the area, it was sufficient for our needs. In addition the Namekogan River offers excellent kayaking. We hope to return. in 2024.

Perfect
Perfect home for our family vacation! Caught lots of fish and kids stayed busy all week long playing bags, going kayaking and paddle boating. Being able to rent the pontoon for the week was an added bonus!

Bachelor party
We had 9 guests stay over the Fourth of July and it was an amazing trip. Close to town, whole peninsula to ourselves for swimming and fishing. The hosts provided fun games outside and cleanliness throughout property. Would definitely book again!

Awsome family together time vacation before college & school teaching, trade school and new jobs
This was absolutely the family get-together vacation that I have been dreaming of!! The house was absolutely perfect for us. We had so much fun paddle boating, kiacking(?) etc and our grandsons caught many big northerns and bass which made them very happy. The house is furnished with everything imaginable--we brought lots of things we would not have had to cuz they were provided. Our time here together was definitely worth every penny spent. Thank you so much for providing a place where we created so many awesome memories ❤

Great location for a great family vacation!
We were celebrating my wife's 60th birthday and she wanted a place on a lake large enough for our entire family (2 of us, 4 kids, 2 spouses, 2 granddaughters under 2). I found this place, read the reviews, and it was everything that had been advertised and more. The hosts were fantastic, the home was perfect for our needs, the location and amenities were spot on.

Lake Point Lodge
We had a great week in Hayward. The house was very clean and everything that we needed was on site. Fishing wasn't very good but there were a couple of cold fronts that came through, which makes fishing a lot tougher. The water was cold so the kids didn't spend a lot of time swimming. The only drawback to this location is the proximity to town. If you are looking for a true "Northwoods" experience, then this probably isn't the place for you. The National Lumberjack Championship was in Hayward the week that we stayed, and that is held on Lake Hayward. There was constant sirens all week, as well as car alarms going off and engines revving. Not what I think of when I go to the Northwoods. If you like convenience to town, then this is the perfect place for you. Overall, we had a great week and highly recommend this property.

The best family vacation!
We had the most incredible time at Lake Point Lodge. Our group ranged in age from 5 to 70 with four families and the house was perfect for everyone. We all commented that this was the cleanest, well stocked, perfectly located property. Just a couple minutes from town (kids rode their scooters there), groceries, shopping, restaurants and activities were all within a 5 minute drive. We loved the kayaks, paddle boat, fishing off the dock (the middle dock was the best for fishing), swimming and just enjoying our time together as family while each having our own spacious bedroom and bathroom. Lee and Mary Jo were quick to reply with any questions. If you’re looking for a beautiful house on a quiet lake with lots of space, this is it! We hope to come back!

Family had a great time. House fit us perfectly. Everything on one level, flat walk down to lake. great privacy in back yard. Walk to town. Kitchen had everything we needed which is a first for us in 20 years of vacation house rentals. Kayaks were a big hit.

Gorgeous property and setting
If I could give this property more than 5 stars, I would! It is absolutely gorgeous! Located at the end of a peninsula, it is surrounded by water on 3 sides. Location is fabulous, with main street being just over a mile away, a quick 5 minute drive. Lots of amenities which we took advantage of. Played croquet, bocce ball and cornhole. Our toddler grandchild loved being taken for rides on the paddle boat, and the adult children liked the kayaks. The spacious bedrooms (each with their own bathroom) gave each family their own space. Can't say enough good things about this place!

Exceptional property with wonderful accommodations
Have stayed at many vacation homes through the years with our family, this property far surpassed all others for exceptional views of the lake from almost every window and room in the house. The accommodations were also better than most, with the owners having thought of everything you may need on your vacation and supplying all the amenities , plus more. In addition, the setup of the house was perfect for multi-family sharing, with a bathroom for every bedroom. There was so much space inside and outside on this property we all had plenty of room to relax, and enjoy our time at the lake. Thank you for allowing us to share your home, and for all the work you put into making our time relaxing and memorable.

Wonderful place to stay

Great family vacation spot.
We enjoyed all elements of the property….,inside the home, the yard around the home, and the lake……. besides having the wonderful amenities of Hayward so close. We shared numerous activities indoors in the evening or when the weather was not great, used the lawn for outdoor yard games, and spent a lot of time on the lake fishing, paddle boarding, tubing, or just lounging on various beach paraphanalia. And , of course, the deck was spectacular when viewing the yard games or just celebrating a beautiful July evening. We have vacationed in the Hayward area with our family of 14 for close to 10 years now and this was by far the best overall spot for our group of them all. We hope and plan to enjoy this home away from home again.

Hayward Lake Home
Very nice property on quiet Lake Hayward. We were often the only people on the lake. Very responsive hosts. Home was as described in listing. Wonderful large family room and deck. Rowboat and kayaks worked great for us (we brought a trolling motor). We saw lots of birds - loons, bald eagles and eaglets, cranes, geese, wood ducks.

Family Getaway
Our family really enjoyed the privacy of the lodge and all that it has to offer. The kayaks were very popular, as was fishing from the docks and nightly use of the fire pit. The lodge was spacious, clean and well supplied. The owners were conscientious and great to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property with country feel. This lodge has a large yard and direct walkout to the lake. We made use of the fire pit every night. We also used the kayaks every day and enjoyed that added bonus. Having 4 bathrooms for our family was incredibly convenient for showers. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. My favorite part was the multi tiered decks which always offered sun or shade depending on your preference.

Perfect private getaway!
I wish we could give this property more than five stars! The spacious house was immaculately clean and the amenities were incredible for our group (4 adults and 5 kids). The property was full of things to do (kayaks, canoe, rowboat, paddle boat, two piers, space for the kids to run, massive deck with ample seating, etc.) and the views were breathtaking. If we felt the need to leave the property, there were stores, ice cream shops, hiking trails, mini golf and more located within a short drive. Communication with the property owners was prompt and we recommend this property to anyone!

Terrific Lodge Experience
Our hosts, Lee and Mary Jo, we extremely helpful in getting us settled in for the week. The home was a great way to experience what it was like to stay at an exclusive corporate lodge many years ago. We really enjoyed the privacy of the home, which is surrounded by Hayward Lake on three sides. We had a very relaxing week, and the fishing was a real treat.

Heating of house
The heating of the house was uneven. Family room and kitchen were fine but master bedroom band bunk bedroom were really cold, whereas other 2 bedrooms were quite warm. Seems the vents in colder rooms were behind dresser and partially covered. Had to cover vents in other rooms with too much heat. Otherwise everything was great. Thank you.

Hayward’s best spot
Amazing location on a penninsula pretty much. Beautiful views inside and out. Lots of nice amenities. Great property manager who gave us tons of info about where to eat and things to do. Great stay highly recommend!

Great family vacation house!
This lake house was the perfect place for our family to spend the week together! The house is spacious and set up really well for everyone to have their own space. The outside area/deck/lawn are one of the best of lake homes I’ve stayed at. The flat yard all the way out to the lake was perfect for both my elderly father who has a hard time with stairs and the kids to just run and play. The kids also really enjoyed the bunk room and foosball table downstairs! Overall a really great place to stay and we will hopefully be back!

Great house for a large group.
wonderful, large house with fabulous deck and two docks. We rented a power boat and pontoon from M and M Boat rental in Hayward. The lake is beautiful and clear - a bit on the small side for waterskiing but perfect for tubing. Pretty quiet overall and the lot is very private. The kayaks on site were really fun for our family as well. We had a multi-generational group ranging from 4-70 and this worked perfectly. Proximity to Hayward is great for shopping, groceries. With a total of 11 people, the four beds and four baths were great.

Spacious and Family Friendly
This home is beautiful and very family friendly! My family had a delightful time using the spacious house and yard. The kids had their own retreat in the “Loony Bin” while the adults enjoyed their own bedroom retreats and private bath. The kitchen and eating areas were perfect for feeding the 10 of us. We also enjoyed several different tables and areas that allowed for multiple groups to be playing card games, etc. at the same time. We spent hours on the deck watching the kids play ball, swim, fish and kayak. The bar was a great gathering spot for all of us to gather and share our adventures. This home was a perfect spot and location for our three generations to reconnect and enjoy the family fun and chaos that comes when spending time together.

Exceptional Property
We filled up this beautiful property with 15 of us from 5 families; 10 adults and 5 children. Both the inside and outside are very spacious with plenty of room to accommodate all of us. Every bedroom had its own bathroom which was awesome. The house is very well kept, the beds comfortable, with every amenity imaginable. Our grandchildren lived in the water. They spent hours swimming and fishing off the dock. We all enjoyed the kayaks and yard games. When we needed a break from the water we went go-karting and shopping in Hayward, and stopped at the ice cream shop which was also a good time. We can’t forget about the beautiful sunsets and the bonfires. It is such a peaceful setting. Our families all said they would highly recommend renting this home. We have rented properties in the past and this was by far the best one. It exceeded all our expectations. The owner Lee was extremely helpful and answered our questions promptly. Thank you again Lee for making this a truly enjoyable experience.

Great location. Beautiful home that is well appointed with all possible amenities. This was a golf outing so our group of eight did no take advantage of water sports. The Klein Family Adventure
Our families had a great time and we appreciate you sharing your home with us. We kayaked, swam, fished, played cards and yatzee and had varying degrees of success with the puzzles (the eagle puzzle is HARD)!! Fishing was tough because we didn't know the lake and the weeds had grown thick in many places but the weather was great and we even had a family been bag tournament. I would recommend your home to any of my friends in an instant. It was a blast to share this time with our kids and grand kids.

Before we reserved I had read the reviews, they were spot on. The home had everything needed for a fantastic family vacation. From the kitchen necessities to outdoor fun, it will all be there waiting for you. The owner Lee was more than helpful. He met us at the lake home when we arrived and he made sure we had everything we needed and knew what to expect and what to do ( thank you, Lee ). The home was beautiful and the setting stupendous. We enjoyed every minute.
It was wonderful having a bathroom for each bedroom. The house was clean and the beds comfortable. We really appreciated that the kitchen had all the pots, pans and utensils needed. So nice to have stock spices also. We cooked every meal in house as 3,6,and 8 year old children are best accommodated at home. . The deck is huge and we made a fire in the fire pit must nights enjoying s’mores. Our grandchildren really enjoyed all the outdoor toys. Best of all was the two docks. Our grandchildren casted their “snoopy” fishing poles for hours. No hook or worm needed to have fun. We used the paddle boat, canoe and kayaks every day. The nature museum in Cable was a nice day activity as well as the Muskey museum in Hayward. We were disappointed that there was not a lumberjack show while we were there but the down town celebration of Muskey days was fun. We also enjoyed wine sampling a couple of days at the Out of the Woods Winery. Our sons and daughters-in-laws enjoyed morning runs on some of the close trails. We had fun taking the grandkids to the ice cream and candy stores. We made many memories.

Great Property in Hayward
We had a wonderful stay with at the Lake Point Lodge. Hayward Lake is smaller than many of the surrounding lakes, but perfect for the speed of our stay (with young kids and for a two family get together). The kids fished off the dock. We used the paddle boat and kayaks. We brought our own stand up paddleboard and had a good time on the lake. The lake does have seaweed and it was cooler, so we did not swim. The kids enjoyed the small shore, catching tiny fish (maybe tadpoles?), and looking at shells. We rented a pontoon boat at nearby Round Lake and spent the afternoon there one day for a bigger, clearer lake feel. The property itself is fantastic. Wifi worked great. The large deck, grill, and lawn games were awesome. The hosts greeted us on arrival for a small tour and helpful hints. They are incredibly friendly. The kitchen had every appliance we needed. Most drawers were labeled to make finding things easier. The large living room is great for visiting/entertaining. We spent a lot of time on the deck and had evening fires with smores several nights. It's close to town (~1 mile walk) and Walmart (which we frequented for grocery and fishing permits). We would happily stay again and would recommend to anyone that wanted to stay in the area.

The property was stunning. The house was beautiful. It exceeded our expectations for sure. Loved it.
What a great week we had. There were 15 of us. Enjoyed everything...the kayaks were a big hit with the teenagers especially. Everything you need to cook is already there...very clean and well maintained. We made lots of marvelous memories and wish it was available next year...the owners are wonderful people and really take pride in their home...beautifully decorated too...
