“The bed was really uncomfortable, which was a surprise for a PI, as they pride themselves on the bed comfort. The bar was open late which was great. The parking is small, only 17 spots and you pay for this daily. ”

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay.”

“My husband and I stayed on a Saturday night in November as a birthday treat. We stayed in the loft suite. This room is clean, cosy beautifully decorated. The bathroom is amazing ! We absolutely loved the jetted bathtub. It really was a selling point for us. Breakfast was very nice. Lovely fresh eggs. We enjoyed having our own private dining toom too. Paul was very nice and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you .”

“Everything was excellent. Staff who expertly served a table of 24, courteous, efficient, polite. Food was amazing. Room was outstanding. All staff were lovely, approachable and helpful. Added bonus was a welcome for breakfast and more delicious food. Absolutely stunning all round”

“The single negative Is that we ordered pizza we wanted to eat in bed but they then didn’t have any., Other than that, staff were polite and friendly, especially the ladies on reception in both the hotel and the pool on Wednesday evening. The steam room, pool and jacuzzi were all a good temperature (I hate a cold pool and jacuzzi, there’s just no point as it’s not enjoyable). “Easy and very convenient to my hospital visit”

“Lovely pub hotel, close to Gatwick airport. We had an upstairs room in the separate annex outside the main building. Very spacious room, clean bathroom, and comfy bed. Had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent (if a little pricey). Was leaving for the airport at 7:30am and breakfast started from 8, so they prepared us a very substantial packed breakfast to go. Overall excellent value for money and would certainly stay again and recommend.”
