“It was a fairy tale experience. It was gorgeously decorated with antiques and spotlessly clean. The owner is very gracious and made us feel welcome. We had a full course homemade breakfast which was delicious. The room was spacious with lovely antiques, but still modern enough for air conditioning and a private bathroom. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. Can’t wait for our next visit!”

“Unfortunately we were disappointed. We have been traveling for over a week and don’t generally stay in an hotel that costs this much, but thought we would treat ourselves. Originally, I called the hotel’s direct reservation line to book a room. Agent told me there was only one room available and it would be $400. I had looked on Expedia and saw the same room for $300. I told the agent that and she rudely said that on-line sites are not updated and proceeded to try to get me to book. I told her I...

“We enjoyed our stay at Fairfield. The kids particularly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was decent. Room and property was clean. Staff members were polite and helpful.”

“The room had a bad smell, like someone had been smoking. The smell was very strong in the bathroom area. I asked to be moved to another room; there was nothing else available.”

But internet did not work for the whole afternoon and night, therefore you could not have access not only to the web but also you could not watch TV as it was just streaming (so you needed internet as well) Bathroom is really small, and shower tiny and without a window, so you have a shower in the dark.”

“My only complaint was the coffee service was at 0700. The next time I stay in Helena I would love to stay here again. I have usually stayed right off the freeway and this is the first time I have ever, in 50 years, ever stayed downtown. The rooms were very nice and the front desk person was very helpful and friendly. There is a microwave so next time I will bring a package of instant coffee. Highly recommend staying here.”
