The hotel was spot on for the money we paid and the breakfast was really good and the staff were really friendly,we’re definitely going to stay again

Second stay and would be happy to return. A fabulous breakfast and good, friendly service. A fabulous huge bed and a great room but rather small bathroom with scalding water

Pensioners playtime
Lovely getaway for anniversary and birthday.Prefer a small hotel like this with friendly local staff and great traditional food. Only criticism would be the size of the shower .Would certainly consider returning.

Excellent value for money
Lovely place to stay, excellent value for money. The staff were all very friendly, spacious room and very quiet for a pub (as long as the window is shut during rugby games!) evening food was good and plentiful and the breakfast was excellent but would recommend booking a table in advance especially at the weekend. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Brilliant stay, highly recomended
Lovely stay. Our apartment was comfortable and spacious, warm and well equipped. If I’m being picky we would have liked a non slip mat in the shower and a shelf for toiletries as well, a little tricky without. The meals were well priced and varied, but would have preferred chips instead of wedges .

Relaxing 2 Night Weekend Break
Lovely friendly pub. Good food and drink. Breakfasts were excellent. Comfortable bed, with tea, coffee etc. Bathroom would benefit from smaller sink as it takes up alot of space but its more of a suggestion.

Lovely location. Good size bedroom with a very comfortable bed and a nice selection on the hospitality tray. Breakfast choice was great and quality of food was superb.

Great place to stay for Kielder and surrounding area. Cracking breakfast & fantastic friendly service at breakfast. Good food, recommend the pizza. Would return.

Really enjoyed our stay here, lovely, friendly staff who waited up for us as we arrived late after a long journey from London. Couldn’t have been more welcoming and pleasant though. An amazing breakfast - couldn’t have asked for more. The english breakfast was absolutely a full one and very hot too! Amazingly comfy and super large kingsize bed! Thank you Cheviot - we’ll be back!

Good hotel
Hotel was in a lovely market town. Food was really good ate there both nights. Certainly seemed to be the best in the town for drinks and food. Staff friendly.

Let Down By Evening Meal
The room was modern, clean and had everything we needed, definite recommend. Loved the sheep touches.Breakfast plenty of choice, cooked well and lovely lady looking after us. Our evening meal experience spoiled things somewhat, service was awful, little interest and complete lack of attention, main meal came out seconds after our starter and one was inedible, , both had obviously been sitting waiting to come out, think fish had been refried a couple of times to heat up so as a result was just soggy oul steak piecwas very dry and i needed extra gravy to be able to eat which i was charged for.My advice stay here but avoid evening meal

Comfy, with very good breakfast.
Stayed in a room at the front of the hotel/pub. No noise from downstairs. Good sized room - nice assortment of teas/coffees etc. Very comfy bed. small but adequate en-suite. Really lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Staff friendly.

My go to stopover in the Pennines
5th stay and always come back when walking the Pennines, nice pub in a lovely village, good service, excellent breakfast and very reasonable prices. Hope to be back next year.
