“room was clean and well maintained .I had a dinner in hotel with chips which was not good with too much salt i could not eat .I reported to staff”

“Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. ”

“A great location for visiting the coast which was quiet considering how close it was to a main road. A lovely clean room with all necessary features. The breakfast was good. I would stay there again.”

“I enjoyed my stay but was disappointed with the limited choice at breakfast. Only cooked breakfast which I don't eat and no cereals, porridge or fruit etc.”

“We had a lovely stay in the Beacon View accommodation. It has a back deck with a superb view so we were disappointed it rained for the whole time lol. Perfect spot for exploring the South Downs National Park, or hopping to Lewes, or like us a day trip to Drusillas Zoo....”

“Overall we were happy with the accommodation but concerned when the alarm went off while no staff were on site it was disturbing to get an automated response when dialing the out of hours contact number offering to put me thru to reservations or the restaurant. Was on a call to emergency services when someone appeared to say an alarm had been tripped in the cellar and issue resolved . I mentioned the out of hours contact number didn’t get me to a human response was told it connects to them...

“Terrible. Mold and damp on the walls. Clear water damage. Mold on the windows. As soon as you walk in the room its so damp the air feels thick. Please avoid. I booked 2 nights here but couldnt stay because of how unfit for purpose the rooms are. I got told they will personally contact me for refund details within 24 hours. Its been 2 days of radio silence. Please avoid if your health is your priority.”

“Bed was broken but still very comfortable. There was a terrible smell in the bathroom. The room was otherwise clean and the view to due for.”

“Good value. Had a pleasant ground floor room overlooking greenery and you can open windows and French doors to get a pleasing evening breeze. Property is a little dated but we were fine with that. Access to plugs is an issue for charger, kettle and iron , cant use light plugs as different so have to pull out tv on stand to access and crawl in. They should have an extension plug pack to make it easier.”
