Ryokan a Higashi-Kishu

“A very friendly staff and wonderful dining experience in the Hotel's dining room.”

Asahikan is easily accessible from Osaka and Kyoto - a short train ride followed by a short bus/taxi ride. We took the taxi, which was very cheap and easy. You get incredible value for your money - the place is beautifully decorated and well...

“Excellent onsen and food”

“The private bath was superb! We experience quite a few private and public baths in Japan, and this was our favorite.”

“The room was clean and had a great view but the rest of the hotel and facilities were very old and poorly maintained. The baths were Ok - but again rather poorly maintained. Towels were thin and tiny and they didn’t want to give you any more at the baths. We were supposed to have a dinner the first night with buffet appetizers and a plated dinner, but we never had a waiter come by for the dinner - so we just ate the buffet appetizers… the buffet was mostly half empty - had to keep waiting for...
