“We were allocated the Shropshire suite, which is plain with no designer features, but has an en-suite, and is accessed from outside. It's a 300 year old inn, so if you expect a BnB type experience rather than a hotel, you won't be disappointed. The breakfast was really good. The skylight needs a blind as the early morning light wakes you up at dawn. The fan in the en-suite also didn't work, perhaps explaining the black mould in the shower tiling. But it was otherwise clean, and perfectly located...

“Really nice pub, convenient for Ludlow and the Shropshire Hills. Winter weekend break for us, nice big clean quiet room, comfy bed, plenty of space and large bathroom. All the staff very friendly and efficient, had a nice meal there - steak well cooked - and the breakfast was tasty, good quality ingredients and served quickly and with a smile. “It is a 'quirky' older hotel with some nice features. Our room was decorated with purple wallpaper covered with pink hearts and had a plastic flower covered swing in the middle of the room. The bed was very high and quite hard to get in or out of. A small stool would have been useful. Some of the other rooms appeared to be very small.
