Beautiful week!

Beautiful house and beautiful views! I would suggest different outdoor furniture that would dry quicker. The kitchen was lacking a little bit in silverware, and dishes but not bad.

We had a wonderful time here. The home was roomy and expansive and afforded us plenty of room for our family. The kids loved the playroom and pool. However, the front of the house needs to be refurbished, the steps and railing repaired and painted and the pool deck needs some attention. Some of the furnishings are beginning to look shabby. Even so, this was a great place for our multi-generational family.

Family Vacation with Adult Children and Grandson

House had a great layout and plenty of room for our family. Used lower level for our son/daughter in law and 5-month-old grandson. Some of the outside woodwork needs some attention: front entry banister (bottom left side) was rotted out, front entry stairs need paint, etc. Other than that, the house was great.

Great location, average house at premium price.

Great location. Furniture looked like it came from Goodwill. Need more furniture in the main dinning room. Would not rent again for the money. Too expensive for the furnishings.

Treasured Family Vacation

The property was perfect for our group of 12. The six bedrooms worked well for us. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and game room…great activity areas for our grandkids who are 5, 10, 12 and 14. Loved that it was a 5 minute walk to the beach. Bikes were a great mode of transportation to and on the beach. Would gladly recommend this home to futures families planning a stay on Hilton Head Island.

Amazing home! Can’t wait to return

This was our first (but definitely not last) time renting 70 S Sea Pines Drive. The home was absolutely perfect for us - 8 adults, 5 kids (btw 3-10). The game room and bunk style bedroom were big hits with the kids, but if we are being honest the adults loved the game room too. The kitchen was large and well stocked with everything we could have needed. AC worked great. Beautiful views over the marsh and to Salty Dog - and close enough to salty dog for the bigger kids to ride their bikes over for ice cream. The pool was bigger than expected and sunny all day long. Even though the house looks exposed in the back there was Can’t say enough good things about this property. Would also highlight that it is currently managed by the Vacation Company which was great- they left a whole stack of towel, mini toiletries and even a few dishwasher & laundry pods. 4 adult bikes came with the house and then we got a credit to put towards other beach rentals (chairs, umbrella etc). Can’t wait to go back!

Hilton Head was great

This property, while older, was well kept and clean and spacious enough for the 12 of us. We wished it gave just a bit more of the starters, like paper towels and aundry and dishwasher detergent, esp. for the size of the property.. They didn't provide coffee filters, or sugar, silly things like that. The Management company was superb and responsive to small issues that cropped up. The pool got overwhelmed with our crowd. Filter couldnt handle it and water got cloudy. 4 bikes was a plus.

Beautiful house - Perfect location

Our family of 17 (9 adults 8 kids) loved this house. It was immaculate. We didn’t have any of the cleanliness issues mentioned in earlier reviews. The property manager (the Vacation Company) was very responsive to any concerns or questions we had. There was a loose railing on the deck that was a safety issue for our littlest ones and it was repaired within a couple of hours after I called. Older reviews have mentioned the ice maker. That is still an issue but we solved it by having bags of ice in the freezer. The house is located a 5 minute walk from a very quiet beach. We felt like the only people on the beach. We have stayed in other locations on Hilton Head many times before but this one was our favorite. We really loved our time at this house and because of its location it feels very private. We would highly recommend it.

Great house for a large group!

We had our whole family of 17 and the house easily accommodated us. The short walk to the beach and Salty Dog was very convenient. The pool and hot tub are very nice, although the hot tub water was not useable when we arrived and took a couple of days to cleaned.

Very nice house and location!

The process of renting the home was fine even it did seem to have two addresses. That was very confusing especially when the rental company rep seemed confused. The refund policy is a bit heavy handed in my view but … The house itself was fine. We were concerned about road noise being right on Seapines Drive but it was not terrible. The path to beach is just up street and an easy walk. That section of beach is wonderful with no crowds. The pool at house is larger than most and the rec area in garage is great especially if you have teenagers House was very clean and open with great views of marsh! Highly recommended

Love this house

This house is in a good location with great amenities for all age groups. We loved and took advantage of the pool, bicycles, gas grille, hot tub and game room (ping pong table and air hockey especially). With the open floor plan there was plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen and eating area were spacious enough to have all 16 of us eat together and the sunroom became a perfect office space for the one person who still had work to do. Everything was clean and well kept. Distance to beach was an easy 10 minute walk. The management company was very good with communications and responsive to correcting a couple of minor issues. We are definitely considering renting this house again.

We have been visiting HHI for 15 years, always booking through VRBO. This is a lovely home with a beautiful view! We enjoyed our stay, and were happy we chose this home. With 'social distancing' a reality on this vacation, the private pool and ability to walk to the beach was key. The management company provided 4 bicycles and beach towels. During our stay, the pool was serviced and an employee who said she worked directly for the management company even came to clean the BBQ grill. The grill did not need cleaning, as it was a nice newer grill. However, as past reviews have mentioned, this home at the least, needs a good cleaning. The sofas and decorative pillows were dirty, stained and had an odor. Just about everything in the kitchen had to be washed before we could use it, as it seemed sticky from grease. There is no stove top ventilation, so I imagine things get splattered more when cooking. As in past reviews, the ice machine in the fridge does not work, the corkscrew is broken, empty salt & pepper grinders remain on the counter. The insides of the cabinets are still filthy, and the walls need a scrub, especially the one behind the trash bins in the kitchen. Simple everyday stuff, right? We tried to vacuum, but it was broken. We swept, but there was no dustpan. At first, this lead me to believe that the owners are paying for poor housekeeping, however, this has been mentioned in past reviews for a long while. I booked thinking that the issues in the past reviews would have been resolved; they are not. I told the management company employee that came to clean the grill about the concerns. She said she would relay them back to the mgmt. co., I'm not sure if she did. Again, all the past reviews are correct - just add more grime after each guest stays. On the plus side - there is a hidden game room with ping pong, air hockey and separate TV! Lovely location!

Hilton Head Family Reunion

Excellent home for a family reunion, great to have enough bathrooms for the bedrooms so no lines waiting for showers! Beautiful quiet property, conveniently located with beach access. The four bikes were greatly appreciated for taking advantage of the great bike trails and rides on the beach at low tide. Suggested minor improvements: include enough dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent packets for each day of the rental, include more than 3 garbage bag liners, fill the salt and pepper grinders, get a better corkscrew (the one at the home is too short), get some sparkling wine glasses, and include instructions on how to open the skylight blinds. We also bought bulbs for the nightlights since one was burned out (or missing, I forget which) - we did leave the extras for future guests in the utility closet. Those are all minor things that would have made a great stay perfect. All-in-all, one of our best family reunion locations, homes, and experiences.

Perfect HHI house for a family vacation

We loved the view from the house (kids really enjoyed all the different birds that flew by), the quick walk to the beach, the great pool, and the space to relax. Tons of light filled the place to give it a great feeling. Having plenty of towels and bikes added to the benefits. Enough rooms to fill lots of family. Our family will be back.

Nice house. Items need updated or repaired

The house was very nice. There were small things that made a difference in the overall satisfaction. Ice machine did not work which was a major inconvenience as we had to continuously purchase bags of ice. From what we could figure out, there was no Netflix or Hulu access which we have never stayed in a house that at least did not have Netflix. The master bedroom cable box and 1 of the kids rooms cable box had to be rebooted multiple times. The bottom of the cabinets were filthy. Outside trash cans, even though they were empty, stunk horribly and could be smelt anytime you were outside. The coffee maker was outdated and did not work correctly. Overall, the house is very nice, but amenities need to be updated/repaired/replaced.

Sea Pines

We really enjoyed the pool and 2 spacious living areas in this home. It was a solid 5 minute walk to the beach. The location in Sea PInes was wonderful for biking and easy access to tennis courts. We really appreciated the 4 bikes that were included and utilized the one hour of free tennis daily. This property could use a deep clean (baseboards, fans, etc) and new carpets.
