Mini Getaway

Nice property, great location, very clean and spacious. We had difficulty checking in after hours, but someone responded within 30 minutes and directed us to the lock box with gate passes. Will definitely stay again! My family and I really enjoyed our stay.

Overall great stay

Overall, 14 of us had a very enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the pool and it was a short walk to the beach. Home was as advertised. Spacious living/dining area. Kitchen had all of the amenities needed for us to cook. They provided games like scattergories and scrabble that we had a ball playing. Issues we ran into included 1) the pool is surrounded by beautiful trees that offer privacy and a serene setting but also means the pool can get dirty quite quickly. There was a storm our first day there and because a lot of the debris sunk to the bottom of the pool we had to wait for the pool guys to clean it out. A nice pool cover would solve this problem, 2) the refrigerator was too small for the amount of food we needed for all of us, a second fridge even just for drinks would be helpful and 3) we had difficulty finding the lights when grilling after dark. But overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Beautiful spacious home

Very nice beautiful home and neighborhood! Enjoyed the large pool but not sure it was cleaned before our arrival. Lots of trees around so I am sure that is a factor. Pool was great for all ages! Close to beach. We definitely would like to rent again in future!

Very spacious but sound reverberates throughout the house making it difficult to keep the noise down

Beautiful home and layout was very nice. Would have been nice to use the elevator since we had to make so many trips up the steps and my wife and I are no longer spring chickens!

Had a great week with just a few concerns!

Beautiful home and comfortable with lovely decor, wonderful seating room and plenty of space for everyone. First concern was the step out of the front door. My husband almost took a fall on the first day. I came close to going down later in the week. The fact that the smoke detectors were not working properly were another concern. There was a leak in the upstairs shower which could eventually ruin the floor and down to the ceiling below. The outdoor grill needed a good cleaning when we arrived and has several parts that should be repaired.. The 6th bedroom isn’t a proper bedroom as it does not have any ventilation or window. It became unusable.

Nice home and location - a couple opportunities ….

Nice Home - the location of the home is great, less than 5 min bike ride and 10 min walk to the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped and the living areas are spacious (we had 14 people in our party). The decor is not out of date and the televisions all look to have been updated recently. Opportunities - first we were surprised to have to pay for our Palmetto Dunes parking passes (each). Maybe that is something new - but we have never had to do that before. Even though there are 6 bedrooms, the driveway is tight with 5 cars and you have to jockey cars around. The beds need replaced - there are a couple of good beds - but most are sagging and/or thin. Most nights the living room couches were used (they are comfortable). I know the property owner and the management company are aware and are working on this. I would just check where they are at with the replacement process before committing to the rental agreement

Fun trip!

We really enjoyed our stay here. There were ample utensils and dishes in the house. Some of the beds weren’t very comfortable and could definitely use a mattress/frame upgrade but overall it is a very well kept property with a great proximity to the beach!

Perfect rental for large family

I rented this house for my family during our stay at Hilton Head to attend my sons wedding. The property was beautifully maintained and very clean. Lots of room for members of the extended family that came for a BBQ and swim. Would definitely recommend to stay at this house, Vacation Homes of Hilton Head made everything very easy. Will definitely use them again for future stays.

Spacious home with nice pool. However we arrived and had to clean for an hour bc it was not cleaned well! We contacted the property managers and sent pictures and nothing was done. It was at that time they said the pool needed a new pump and it would be replaced Monday. Come Tuesday I had to call to make sure the pool was swimmable because the pump had not been replaced yet!

small improvements

Strainer for kitchen sink would help immensely especially during COVID where eating in was more popular. Secondly, putting a queen size been in place of full in either of the bedrooms that had full only. Would add flexibility in divvying up bedrooms with kids and parents. Spraying for mosquitoes might also be an improvement. Overall property met or exceeded expectations.

Not a good value -we all got sick

1 location fabulous for a quick walk to beach and easy access to multiple grocery stores 2 pool was nice size for large group and deep enough for children to swim and play 3 house has plenty of space for large family gatherings and privacy. 4 management had a rapid response to issues. 5 Unfortunately when we arrived we needed to clean anything we needed to use. Boiled the entire silverware drawer and cleaned out the silverware drawer and holders ( it was moldy and filthy). Smell of Mold in several upstairs Bathrooms. Noted most exhaust Fans were filthy and clogged. HVAC unit probably has mold in it filters were clogged and hadn’t been changed in 6 mo date noted on filter. 6 finally the day we arrived the pool had just been 3-4 pm it appeared dirty pool chemicals were too potent for use on Saturday. Much improved Sunday am. The rest of the week it was lovely. The pool Deck has constant standing water especially in the area of pool machinery. This water is green moldy and a source of mosquitoes . 7 All mattresses really need to be replaced

Last Minute Trip to Hilton Head

This property was fantastic. One of the best houses we've stayed in out of our many vacations to several destinations. We had three families, 14 people, and never felt like we were on top of one another. The living room, kitchen, and dining area were all very spacious and the 6 bedroom layout was great. Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of bath towels were provided, and the front porch made the trip. The pool size was very large compared to others in the area. It gets plenty of sun in the afternoon but also provides plenty of shade on those hot, summer days. The house sits on a very private cul-de-sac so plenty of privacy. The kids loved biking to the General Store every day for their sweet treats. All three families were very pleased with everything and will return again next year.

Our Family Vacation

Nice size house! Our family all had their own space.....found toys under some of the furniture. The beds need to be replaced... mattresses are too old and uncomfortable. Should have the property manager check in mid -week.... We did our own pool maintenance ( rain and storms dumped much debris) .... garbage pick up would have been nice mid-week as well......loved the area... we will return.

Enjoyed the porch

We had a fabulous vacation and really enjoyed the location. The front porch was perfect and we spent lots of early mornings and late nights enjoying it. The pool was great and perfect size for our family. The house was clean and fit our families needs very well. We hope to be back next year.

The house was very nice, lots of room! Bunk room too small, as was queen bedroom/bath. Beach!!

We had a great time here. All eleven of us enjoyed the pool, playing games in the living room and meal prep in kitchen! Beach was a short walk or bike ride! We rented bikes which everyone enjoyed! Dolphin cruise was disappointing!

Wonderful for large families.

This home was everything it was advertised and more. Fully stocked kitchen if you are cooks, like us. Large pool with plenty of space to escape the heat. I suggest an outside trash can at the pool area.
