Before booking, I specifically asked about potential elevator noise due to recovering from an illness. I was told that double doors separated the unit from the elevator, but it was not disclosed that these are large, heavy doors with horizontal push bars create significant noise when used. Unfortunately, the bed’s headboard is just a few feet from the doors on the hallway wall, making the impact of that noise unavoidable. About five days into my stay, new renters arrived early in the morning, and the repeated opening and closing of the door lasted for nearly two hours. I assumed this would improve once they settled in, but instead, the loud door activity began occurring daily starting around 5:30 a.m. After several days, I reached out to ask about relocating, but no alternatives were available. I was told someone would look at the door, but this did not resolve the issue. I was also informed that no prior complaints had been made; however, the volume and frequency of the noise are immediately apparent when standing in the hallway and are easily heard throughout the unit. One should not need to be a detective concerning noise when booking. As a temporary measure, I propped the doors overnight with signage, which helped briefly. However, the signs and door stops were removed during my final nights, and the disruption continued. Unfortunately, there was no follow-up from Ms. Klein regarding this situation, and the remainder of the stay was significantly impacted. Stay elsewhere!
