This was the perfect little trip and stay for our first time in Hilton Head! We drove from Alabama just for the weekend and we planned on being out and about a good bit so we weren't looking for a ton of space or amenities. First of all, Hilton Head is gorgeous! Nothing here is ugly. The staff at the lobby of the Beach and Tennis resort were so friendly and helpful. They highlighted where our condo was on the map, where to park and where the beach access and pool was located. They also had a map of HHI and gave us a ton of recommendations on where to visit and where to eat.
The condo was small and quaint, perfect for what we needed for me and my friend. With this unit being located at building C, we were so close to the beach and pool access so we didn't have a long walk or have to drive to get to it, that was probably our #1 feature for us. They had a nice welcome bag of snacks when we arrived and everything was so tidy, clean, and had fun beach vibes!
Shortly before our trip, the unit was sold and then purchased by the new owner and transferred to Vacasa from VRBO. This process was so seamless and they were so communicative. In this day, a lot of that can sound like scams but this never had me worried and both the old and new owners and rental management were so helpful in the process!
The only reason I gave it a 4 is that since it is under new ownership, this may have been a quick turnaround and some attention to detail was not caught. I was planning on staying on the pull out couch/bed while I let my friend have the bed as she is pregnant. Unfortunately, I looked all over and there were no sheets for the pullout couch. That being said, I had to sleep on the hallway bottom bunk which was definitely made for little ones. I'm not picky in the slightest but since there was an option for a larger bed under the couch, it would have been more ideal had there been sheets for it as I was as long and nearly as wide as the bunk being a 5'9 37yr old female. You can imagine, haha. Additionally, the sheets on the bunk were too short for that bed as well. The fitted sheet fit but the top sheet was way too short (somehow).
There was an ironing board and iron so that was helpful and although we really didn't use the kitchen as we ate our way through HHI, it was nice having a dishwasher. If you've stayed in rentals before, you know that each place is stocked differently. You can expect your basics, cups, mugs, plates, silverware. There was a coffee pot and we had coffee but no filters, and we did notice there were some casserole dishes but I always pack what I need just in case if it is necessary, or just ask before! I.e. If you plan to use the pull out couch, make sure there are linens provided, etc.
I think these are definitely easy things they can make sure they have!
They had 2 beach chairs and some boogey boards as well which was super nice if you are traveling!
Overall, we had great communication and had a great stay! Thank you HHI!!
