Great value

This place was a great value for the price paid. Nice pools, short walk to the beach, and the owner is great to work with. It’s definitely an older building, but again it was a good value for the price paid.

There were bugs

Started with having to request sheets for the pull out bed and a working hair dryer. Ended with leaving at midnight two nights before we were scheduled to leave and moving to a hotel as there were bugs (termites?) In the living area as well as the second bedroom and bath

Condo good. Beach not.

The condo and property were good. Clean and adequate size. The amenities (pools, hot tub, sauna, workout area) were great! Condo kitchen was limited with cooking supplies. The beach was awful. Marshy and not what we expected. We had to go to the public beach at Coligny. That beach was nice so it worked out. If you plan on doing a lot of beach time-not the location for you. If you aren’t big on beach days- you’ll be fine.

Nice for the amount spent

The condo looked exactly like the pictures. It was nice, modern, and clean. We liked that we had access to an inside and multiple outside pools. The only disadvantage was the huge feral cat sanctuary on the other side of a fence from the property. We had no idea it was there until we arrived. If you do not like cats, or are highly allergic like me, I would not recommend.

Beautiful beach

Property was really nice! We enjoyed the cat sanctuary right across from us. Beach was beautiful but shallow and not many waves. Swampy in areas. Room was really nice and really clean. Had everything we needed. Had tennis rackets and beach accessories on porch to use. We rented bikes. There were two historic sites near by. You would have to drive to the Atlantic beach if you wanted waves, we were on the sound. Three pools, hot tub and sauna. Small exercise room. Koi pond and tennis courts.

Quite getaway

My wife and I booked this rental to stay while visiting Parris Island. Our son was graduating Marine Corps boot camp. We stayed for Family Day and graduation. Parris Island was about a 45 min commute. After graduation we stayed the weekend to celebrate our 20 year anniversary! We could not have been happier with the rental. The area is awesome. The beach/sound is walking distance. Be sure to walk out after dark with a flash light to see the horseshoe crab! There is a small shopping area 1.5 miles away that had a local distillery, winery and Hilton Head Brewery! We highly recommend all of those locations. Everything works in the rental, the beds are comfortable and their is plenty of room to move around. They have everything you need for cooking any meal. The screened in porch was nice to sit out on in the evening. This place is located near anything you want! Great beaches, shopping, food and drinks! There is a golf course 1 mile away and their are tons of others along with putt putt and driving ranges in the area. Great stay! We want to go back already!

Family vacation

Nice location away from the crowds but close to very nice beaches, Folly Field was great. The apartment suited us well and was very clean, though the complex is older. The outdoor pools were small, we didn’t use them, however the indoor pool was nice. The beach is lovely to walk on and see the sunrise and lots of birds around.

Unit was great! Location not for us.

The unit was great. It was lovely, well appointed and clean. The customer service received during our visit was also great. For us, however, this was a less than ideal location. The beach at this unit was not what we are used to. While it was beautiful it its own way, it just wasn't what we expected or wanted. There is water on the shore line but it is not a traditional beach. We did explore one day here but the other days we drove to more traditional beaches, which was not planned.

Wonderful location

This property was as listed. A modest apartment which adequately met our needs for a family of 5. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, the washer and dryer came in handy. The bedrooms were small, but quite comforable. The location was PERFECT in my opinion. Just a 5 minute walk to a quite private beach. There were a few dozen people there at the most busy times. It's not your pristine groomed sandy beach, but it's beautiful. There is space to lay out and enoy the sun and ocean. Beautiful sunrises! It was 2-3 miles from grocery/department stores. It's only about a 20 minute drive to the more commericalized beaches. We would definitely return!!

Great Family Vacation

Great choice for a family vacation! The condo was perfect - spacious, clean, and comfortable! Kitchen was well-equipped for lots of cooking and take-out. Some beach toys were available for our kids to use. Dottie was an absolute pleasure to work with. The closest beach was not great for swimming but awesome for creature and shell hunting. We drove a few minutes to Folly Field Beach and it was great for swimming. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Was our first trip to HHI, and the location was awesome! We were able to get to all the places around the island in no time. Everyone was nice to speak to, and the condo was super clean!

Quiet place to get away

We had a great time during our stay here. It is in a quiet community just steps from the beach. The beach itself wasn't busy during our stay, which was great. Lots of things to do on the property itself including a playground, 3 pools, tennis courts and basketball. The owner of the condo was great to work with and reached out twice to check and see if we needed anything. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Great location

We've been going to HHI for the last 10 years and usually we stay on the south end but this year we wanted to try a new location and we are glad we did. The beach was way less crowded and we got to see baby loggerhead turtles hatch and make their way to the ocean. The condo was great the only hiccup we had was there was no info left for us in the condo about pool gate codes or the fitness center but after inquiring the owner contacted me immediately. We will defiantly rent here again.

Bad management company

I received an email prior to arrival letting me know that my parking pass would be at the gate, and also giving me the contact for any problems. When I arrived the gate did not have my parking pass, or us listed to stay. They would not let us in even though I showed them the email confirmation. I called our contact sent to us by Evolve Management, he told us he wasn't able to help that I would need to contact the owner. I again looked on my email, it did not have the owners contact, so then I called the main number for Evolve since my dirct contact was not helpful. The main number told me to call my contact, I told them I did. They put me on hold and after several minutes I hung up. I again called the contact provided, and after becoming frustrated he told me he was "just the cleaner", and provided me with the owner contact info. I received an email from the main number telling me they could not give out the owner info. It was such a cluster. After being in the car for 14 hours taking more than 30 minutes to be able to get in touch with someone to get a parking pass was extremely frustrating. In future booking I will avoid any properties that use Evolve. Once I reached the owner she was very nice, and apologetic. The condo was fine, I do agree with the other reviews that it would be cleaner, and the outside of building was run down. The property description also has that the property has a basketball court, I don't think it did. We looked for it, and looked on the sign showing where everything is. But I won't say 100% that we didn't somehow miss it. There were also lots of cats that hang around. It is right beside a feral cat rescue type of place. The cats didn't bother me, they greeted me each time we came in or out.

Very relaxing

We had a very relaxing stay at the condo. We did experience one minor problem though. When we went to open the window on the patio the screen just fell out. We couldn't get it back in but while we were trying a guy that was part of the maintenance team saw us struggling with it and said he would get with someone else in maintenance and that they would have someone come over and put it back in place. No one had yet to come upon our leaving but I would imagine those guys stay quite busy. Over all the stay was wonderful. We will probably try to stay with you folks again in the near future and will definitely let others know about your nice affordable place.
