The Roost is two apartments, The Nest and The Little Nest, across the corridor from each other above the White Eagle pub in Rhoscolyn. Each is its own self-contained space with its own kitchen, so a bigger group can stay close together without being on top of each other. Between them they sleep up to 10 across five bedrooms.

The Nest is the larger apartment, sleeping eight across four bedrooms. The open-plan kitchen-diner has a central island and breakfast bar, and the dining table sits in a sunny alcove and seats eight, so everyone can eat together. In the living room you’ll find two large sofas, two armchairs and a wood burner, which is great for autumn and winter stays. French doors lead onto a sheltered roof terrace, a suntrap for lunch or a sunset drink.

    Two super-king-size bedrooms

    One bunk bedroom

One twin bedroom that can be converted into a super-king-size

The Little Nest is a one-bedroom apartment for two, just across the corridor. It has a super-king-size bedroom, a kitchenette, a small dining table and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. It suits a couple in the group who’d like a bit of quiet, or anyone who wants their own space.

Booking both lets you split the group however suits you, with everyone close by and nobody sharing a living space.

The beach is a 10-minute walk, or 4 minutes by car. The coastal path and Bwa Gwyn (the White Arch) are close by for walks, and the White Eagle downstairs serves good pub food and real ales when you’d rather not cook.

    The Neighborhood:

Rhoscolyn (said: ross-KOL-in) sits between its busier neighbours, Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay. It's small, but rather mighty — the scenery never stops being magical, and there's always something new to find.

The main beach, Borthwen, is reached down a narrow lane with more bends than you'd think possible — great for swimming, sandcastles and rockpools, with rocky outcrops made for a game of hide and seek. On the way back up, call into Bodior Estate farm shop, or let The White Eagle do the cooking — decking with a view on warm days, a fire in the snugs when it's not. B Active Rhoscolyn run kayaking and coasteering for all levels, and the Anglesey Coastal Path runs straight through.

Don't miss Bwa Gwyn and Bwa Du, two dramatic sea-carved arches, or Rhoscolyn Lookout, one of the best vantage points on the coast.

    Getting Around:

A peaceful, rural area — a car is essential. Free parking is available on-site. The closest shops and restaurants are in nearby Trearddur Bay or Valley, about 10 minutes away.

    Other Things to Note:

An AHL Damage Waiver is included as standard with every booking. It’s there to protect the property and give you complete peace of mind, covering accidental damage up to £250, so that if something happens, it doesn’t cast a shadow over your stay.

Towels & Bedding: Linens and bath towels provided (please bring your own beach towels)

    Did you know:

We offer booking extras to make your stay even better. Our Extended Stay Refresh* brings fresh linens, new towels, made beds and a quick bathroom reset. *Available on selected properties within our portfolio.

    Don’t forget:

Booking with AHL gets you fabulous, unique discounts at eateries, attractions, and shops such as Rib Ride, Zip World, and Sandy Mount House to name a few.

Great location, very handy for the pub

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful place with great walks and beaches on the doorstep. I think the kitchen could have alittle more equipment such as baking sheets and tins but this maybe because the food in the pub downstairs is so good. Only issues we had was a very loud pub quiz which unfortunately woke the baby when everyone was leaving.

Comfortable apartment

Our second visit to Rhos Colyn. Can t fault the apartment. Any one with mobility issues would struggle with the steep stairs.

Superb

A great location for us and being able to walk to the beach and also to do circular walks from the property was great - especially when you could call for a drink and food. The terrace was disappointing as I expected to be able to sit out and look at the view but it had air con unit on it and nothing to see. A nicely furnished and clean, comfy accommodation though - I’m not sure I would have liked to only be in The Little Nest though unless it was just a place to sleep
