Tranquillo, privato Lakefront Cottage - Lago Skaneateles

Delizioso cottage sul lago riposante, sede di molte estati lentigginose alla donna che quando una giovane ragazza ha ispirato J. D. Il personaggio di Salinger, Esme. Ogni camera con vista e con 125 piedi di nuoto e facciata sullo stesso livello in barca, i panorami sono spettacolari. Pietra e legno meravigliosi dappertutto. Soffitti alti, molta luce. Ampio portico per cene al lago e relax lungo la spiaggia privata erbosa. Dorme nove anime beate. Così quieto e pacifico qui, questo deve essere il paradiso.

Il lago Skaneateles è un bacino idrico per la città di Siracusa. È considerato il più pulito dei Finger Lakes. C'è una riserva di Finger Lakes Land Trust direttamente dietro la nostra proprietà (il sentiero è accessibile dalla strada 41). Ci sono molti parchi e riserve (Bear Swamp State Forest, riserva di High Vista ecc.) Che circondano l'estremità meridionale del lago; il Land Trust sta lavorando per preservare questo ambiente naturale collegando queste proprietà in una "collana di smeraldi" intorno all'estremità meridionale.

Il villaggio di Skaneateles, a 25 minuti a nord, è una nota meta per lo shopping, i ristoranti e il turismo. Organizzano un festival musicale e uno spettacolo in barca, organizzano partite di polo, organizzano crociere in barca e crociere con cena e organizzano concerti gratuiti di band cittadine. La città ha molti ristoranti molto raffinati, dai classici piatti vittoriani a nove e dodici portate al Krebs, al Fish Fry di Doug, uno dei locali preferiti. Beautiful quiet stay

What a magical home! The pictures don’t do it justice! We’ve never had great service at a stay like we did at this one! They were so helpful and accommodating and it’s such a beautiful home! It is so cozy and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone looking in the area!

Beautiful location, charming house

We were up in the Homer area for my daughter's college graduation weekend and stayed at this property which sat directly on Skaneatlas Lake. The interior has a very curious decoration style that seemed to tell a story in each room, which I found very interesting. Communication with the host was great, as described, and you can't beat the location right on the lake!

Truly Amazing & Serene

This house has so much character! It is spacious and lovely…and literally on the banks of the cleanest lake upstate. The host is very kind and attentive. If you want to get away…there’s no better place for a quiet and relaxing stay.

Right on the Lake

I, my husband and our little corgi dog had a wonderful stay on Lake Skaneateles at this property. It's an elegant, older well designed and well equipped ranch with fantastic lake views, lots of books and cool folk art. The lot is flat with it's own private dock, lawn and little beach. It was very easy for my husband to launch our kayak from. It has plenty of parking too. The water was crystal clear/clean and the fishing was fantantic. The bed was comfy and we really enjoyed the spacious screened in porch. We hope to be able to stay again next year.

Amazing views!

Beautiful lakefront property that gives you fabulous views from morning until night. We only stayed the weekend and wish we had more time to explore but we were only half an hour away from many attractions and restaurants. Robert was a great host and responded timely. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Lovely and elegant lake house

What a gem. Beautiful views, very nice house, great location for upstate NY foliage gazing. We had a bonfire one night by the dock and saw shooting stars!

Amazingly Tranquil And Out Of The Way

The property and its location are quite amazing! The house will take you back in time and make you feel right at home. The views of the lake and the proximity to the water would be hard to duplicate. At the end of a somewhat private road we saw or heard very few cars and just a few people. Quiet, restful and welcoming, we hope to come back to this peaceful spot on Skaneateles Lake!

Family Time

We fished, we swam, we kayaked, we ate a ton of food. It was an awesome reunion after not seeing each other for so long. The sunsets were amazing! It’s not a fancy place but that’s not what we wanted.

Calming lake house retreat

This property is set right on the lake with a level yard leading up to the water. The house, furniture etc was VERY comfortable and clean. Really cool art all around the house but the lake and view from literally every room is the attraction here.

Fall foliage fans will love it!

Super quiet location with all the amenities. Loved the sprawling ranch vibe (those who cannot climb stairs will find it extremely easy to move about in). Our pups enjoyed the shale beach as did we. Husband enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught quite a few bass. If you value relaxation and solitude, this is the place.

Best Waterfront

Beautifully Creative Cottage - A Gem!

This is a very unique rental on a quiet road by the lake, perfect for a simple relaxing weekend trip. It is a nice sleepy area of the lake where you can unwind and be at peace. It is rural so there is not much nearby - but feels ideal for a family; I really appreciated that the space was pet-friendly, too. Cottage is full of fun artistic character and some really funky/neat rural folk art - we really enjoyed looking at all of the art. One of the nicest features is being right on the water with beautiful views of the lake from every window, no matter the weather you can enjoy it. Being so close to the water made it easy to collect shells and watch sunsets from the nearby dock, which my kiddo enjoyed. This cottage is well updated & furnished, with a small kitchen area (stove/oven/microwave etc.)- & instructions were very helpful for us to know how to use things and where they go, which made it easy for us. Very well organized overall and a joy to stay. Overall, this rental is a hidden gem on the lake.
