“Straight away, from the outside The Beach looked inviting and the location really was perfect. On checking in, the young lady at the desk was extremely helpful, cheerful and efficient. The room was light, airy and very clean with everything you need at hand. The shower was, without a doubt, the best hotel shower we had ever used, hot for as long as we needed it and fabulous pressure behind it. “All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. This is the third time we have stayed at the , " Duke of York". The rooms are always clean and well supplied and wonderfully quirky. The food is exquisite, good suppliers and a talented chef make any meal you order an absolute delight. The choice of beers and ciders definately hit the spot and are excellently kept. We will, without question, be looking to return for more stays regardless of the season because any time of year is great here.”

“This is a nice property that's had love and care poured into restoring it. The property is however over-marketed (and over-priced) in our opinion. Expedia market as a 'cottage' and the pin shows a central Woolacombe location. Its actually in a holiday/residential park above Woolacombe. The park its in has a run down feel to it and the first impression was of deep disappointment. Once you've moved in then its a lovely property on the inside.
