Awkward layout
The property layout was really not depicted as it was versed online. The bathroom that had the only shower was separated from the tub and another sink by a curtain, which gave minimal privacy. There is three homes connected to each other on the property, so the pool is not private you have to share with the other guest. The check in process was easy which took stress off a stressful travel day.

Jaquita, thank you for your feedback. You were a very good guest. Unfortunately you probably did not read the property description which clearly states that if the house next to this one is rented the backyard is shared. There are two showers in the house. One is a large cabin shower and the other is in the bathtub. I am glad that you found your check in smooth and easy.

This property was very nice, my Friends all loved the setup and had a great time..The only problem i had was the guest staying next door in the other property..They for some reason thought the pool belonged to them only. The owner was contacted and the problem was quickly resolved.

Easter getaway
The property is beautiful. Clean and fully stocked. The property is even better in person. The neighborhood is quiet. The house is well stocked, we usually need to get items but this house had everything. The host is amazing. He answers all questions and concerns immediately. The pool and yard are immaculate. They even had some pool toys for the kids. I would definitely recommend again and again

It was a joy to have Antoinette at the property! She was very good at communicating and let me know whenever she had guests coming. She was very respectful of the house and had a sweet and positive attitude during her stay. Guests like her are a pleasure and she is welcome to stay again if she ever needs a place :)

Everything was great. Great area
The property was great. It's close to everything. Food places, Walmart, CVS, Gas Stations, Etc. The grill was clean and ready to use. The pool was clean and ready to use. The only issues was there was only 1 shower and we all had to wait on some one to finish and it took us longer to get ready. But overall still a 5 star.

Outstanding Experience
Alex is very professorial and hospitable. He was available and informative for the entirety of our stay. The home itself was beautiful and very clean. I would definitely book with him again and recommend him and his property to anyone needing to house a large group in Houston, TX.

Very nice stay
Clean place and really nice just like the pictures. Inside and outside area were both much bigger than expected so lots of space for family for 6. Kitchen and pool area were both awesome. Beautiful property
We were in the area for my son’s wedding and we rented both properties with the shared swimming pool and backyard. The rooms were clean and the pool was enjoyed by adults and children. Alexander, the host met us at the house and showed us the property. It is well maintained and clearly loved by the host. It was extremely hot in June but Alexander personally bought over 3 large fans to keep the house cooler. I liked that there was a variety of spices in the pantry. Definitely will rent again from Alexander if I visit Houston. Thank you for a memorable stay.

It was great, until the last night, and it’s been a nightmare ever since.
The property is great. There were others in the adjacent house. Sharing the yard/pool was no problem. The house is well taken care of (minus the grill), as is the back yard. The living room also only had one couch, not the 3 indicated in the picture. The previous review of the bathroom only having a curtain, and not a permanent partition between the two bathrooms is still accurate, despite the owner saying in a March review response, he would correct this. Not a problem for my men’s hockey team, some however would find this unsettling. We selected assuming that had been remedied. The stay was honestly uneventful, until the last night. I walked into my room to find the ceiling leaking. I immediately messaged the owner. Assuming it was the AC (set at 70, while it was 97-99 degrees out during the weekend), I pushed the AC up to 74, at his request. I let the owner know this looked like it was going to be a problem. During the night I was in contact with the owner via text/app. The owner called me at 2:30a and asked me to turn the air off (it was still 85 out). He was having an emergency tech come out to look in the morning. At 4:45 was awakened to a flood of water pelting me from the ceiling. The ceiling started to give way and fell. I got up and pushed the bed out of the way to keep it from getting more wet. About 10 min later the ceiling gave way. Tech said the primary and the back up drain lines are clogged on the AC unit. We ask, “was there anything we did that would have caused this?” He said no, and said you can’t win with both clogged. The owner admitted the prior group noted the AC, and he had a tech out to look at it after their stay and said to the team, “I guess this is what I get for not following up.” I asked him if he would refund our money, and fees, for the 1 night, and then it started a 25 day back and forth. We lost the use of two bedrooms based on the damage, and the adjacent bedroom next door, as that ceiling was suspect. He stated, we were still at fault because we noted we had the AC at 70 before we left, and it was at 74 at check in. No house rule indicates you may not adjust the AC below 74. Adjusting the AC down for 3 prior nights became the “last straw” It’s a great property, if you can get past the bathroom and sharing the back yard. Did offer 1 night refund then rescinded when pressed for 1 night taxes & fees. The owner’s behavior is reprehensible. We won’t be back. Don’t recommend this host.

Pure Honesty
I have struggled posting this for a few reasons; I did not complain to the owner, the house has some benefits such as its size & quiet neighborhood. The owner was very courteous by calling to inform us about getting into the house. My reasons for not complaining; what I wanted was my money back, I know this is not how VRBO works so I did what I needed to through the 4 nights we were there. The amount of cleaning I would have wanted was not going to be a quick event by anyone & I felt responsible for booking the home when I had some concerns prior to booking. I was concerned that the decor looked outdated & about a review I read stating the bathroom not being very private due to a curtain that separates the two listed bathrooms. I will not complain about the outdated decor as this may be appealing to some, I will complain about the lack of cleanliness & privacy. I will start with the privacy issue; the curtain in the bathrooms that separates the two is not the only issue regarding privacy it was also had a very noticeable dark stain that was simply gross. The other privacy issue is in the bedroom that has two queen beds, the doors leading into the hall & into one of the bathrooms has glass panels covered by sheer curtains. This does not provide privacy but may be good for families with little ones. The lack of cleanliness goes beyond the subjectiveness between what one may consider clean to another. A few things worth mentioning; the towels provided (other than 3 or 4 new white towels) were old and when unfolded long dark hairs were seen. The vents had layers of very thick dust, the grout in the shower with multiple black molded spots, wall by laundry door with the remains of something killed & the duct tape holding something on a light switch. These are just the issues I took pictures of. I spent the first night doing laundry so we would have clean towels and flip flops were worn in the shower. The sheets looked clean, thankfully.

This was a great property. The price point was good for our stay and the multiple bedrooms and large kitchen were excellent. The pool was a big hit with the kids. Mr. Alexander was easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

Unfortunately came at the midst of the summer, and the flys/mosquitoes were definitely out. The owner is very responsive and attentive to the property. There was a storm one night and he was there the next day to clean any debris. Older vibe, but and Awesome place and would definitely stay again!

Amazing
The properties were amazing . Clean in tidy shape. Everything was sooooo nice mr Alexander met my group , gave us a tour and greeted us in a loving matter. A birthday to remember!
Me and some friends rented this property for my bday weekend. We had a great time! The house was very pretty and luxurious. Alexander did great with the communication part, anytime you needed something he’d be there. The pool over all is very fun, you do have to share it if people rent next door but with communication it’s all good you still enjoy it out there.

Memorial Day Weekend
Our family wanted a little getaway for Memorial Day weekend. We wanted to get a place with a swimming pool. This listing is a condo so it is a shared pool, but the people were friendly and not too many people even used the pool. Communication with Alex was easy, he was quick to answer or to text back. Very friendly man. We were all very happy with our stay!

Excellent property for four guys on a golf trip. Too bad the hot tub was broken. Original booking did not state that there is an extra cost to heat the pool or hot tub, it should.

Home was OK, but oven didn't work, microwave stop working. The owner didn't come to fix it until the day before we left. It was horrible. We were very disappointed. We were told that we had the property for ourselves and a day later we had to share our pool with those who rented the house next door, the owner also told us that we would have to pay extra to use the jacuzzi we were very very disappointed. Then on top of all of that we were told if we had visitors to visit we had to pay extra. And the last thing that discourage us the most was he kept our deposit for microwave. I rented plenty of vacation homes and never ran into the problems we had. And then to keep our deposit for appliances that wasn't working. Just not right.

To all future homeowners who might consider renting to Brian I advise to be very careful. Your home rules should be discussed before checking in and you should spend time explaining how your high end appliances work. Brian’s extended family was disrespectful. They selected a very high end expensive property. They expected to get all but pay none. They broke Wolfe SubZero microwave oven which is taking long time to fix. It will cost more than the amount of the deposit. Please be very careful if you decide to rent to Brian. Very disappointed and sad.

The house was clean, new and everything was working except the oven. The house had a few electrical issues but I am sure the owner is taking care of that as we speak. I wished the owner was a bit more flexible and not charge so much for early check in as I needed to get the house ready for a surprise get together. The pool and the yard were great places to spend time outside. Please note that you have to share the yard and pool with neighbors but for normal civilized people this shouldn't detract you from renting this cool house.

Sydarya Ray was an excellent guest. He is easy going and very pleasant young man. His friends were polite and respectful group of young people. He has a big heart and he is ready to help if needed (which was my case). The house was spotless after they checked out. Great experience!

Very Pleased!
A group of us (five guys) were traveling to Houston for the weekend. I was responsible for finding a “nice” place to stay! When you’ve got five people to please this isn’t an easy task. When I found the “Exquisite House” the pictures lured me in! Then I communicated with the owner (Alexander) to ask a few questions and he was customer service friendly, which is also hard to find so I booked the house. Upon arrival, we were all pleased. Everything was clean, the high class touches throughout the house were nice and unique, and there was plenty of room to relax and enjoy our stay. I would recommend this VRBO and intend to return should our travels bring us back to Houston.

Excellent Host
We had a fantastic time in Houston. The house is beautiful, has blazing fast wifi, and a relaxing pool. We couldn't have asked for anything better. House was clean and very nice. Couches and beds were comfortable. Kitchen had all the equipment needed for full dinners. We've stayed at a lot of Airbnb locations over the years and Alex was one of the best we've ever met. He's friendly, kind, respectful, and very knowledgeable of the area. He was really easy to communicate with. I highly recommend staying at any of Alex's homes.
