Both the travertine tile terrace upstairs and the spacious downstairs terrace offer amazing views of the lake as well as areas to relax and make memories. The rock walkways and wall work leading to the lake are beautiful. Serve food and drinks from the cabana or outdoor kitchen on the dock where there is plenty of seating in and out of the sun. At night enjoy the rock outdoor fireplace and roast some marshmallows. We have 2 deep water floating docks for your boat, or wave runners and lots of space on our stationary dock. Enjoy exploring the lake as you cruise the shoreline in our three complementary kayaks and paddle boards. To insure your safety we have added a dock lifeguard shock warning system to our swim area. We have an ideal location at the end of the cove away from most boat traffic in a protected cove and located near Smith Mountain and the dam. We now have a whole house generator to insure you are uninterrupted during your stay. The location is only a short drive to restaurants, boutiques, the State Park Beach and grocery stores. Our family of 10 had the most wonderful stay! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and so thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. We spent hours just soaking in the stunning views. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The hosts were incredibly kind and communicative. Don’t hesitate on this property book today!

A Beautiful Getaway

I highly recommend this house. It has been one of our favorites and we have been renting on SML for the past 15 years. There were a lot of accommodations, that kept our teenagers busy. If we were not on the lake, we were busy cooking in the beautiful fully stocked kitchen or playing games (ping pong, fuse ball, air hockey, checkers and etc.) The house was clean, and we loved the fact linens were included. We would rent here again.

Fantastic house and great location

The house is spacious and fit our family well. The little touches such as providing clothing soap and hand soap were a nice touch! The dock with SUP boards and kayaks were great to have - the cove was lovely and mostly quiet so we were comfortable swimming off the dock. So many games and activities - the pool table was in use most of the day. Highly recommend.

Perfect graduation getaway!!

This lakefront home was amazing in every way. Plenty of room to spread out , yet with large gathering areas to play games, swim, paddle board/kayak and just spend quality time with your loved ones. The Waterfront and hot tub were particularly wonderful!! The bedrooms were spacious and well laid out. The kitchen and eat in nook were well appointed and perfect for our large family. The hosts had every detail worked out and were very responsive and great work with. We can’t wait to go back!!!!

Positives and Negatives Positives: - Very Large home with plenty of space for the entire family - Host was super responsive and accommodating- Instructions were clear and reasonable - even taking care of trash which in our extensive SML experience is rare - normally you have to make a trip or multiple to the dump - beds were very comfortable and not having to deal with linens is a huge deal - Very well stocked home - plenty of plates, glasses, pans and utensils - basically anything we looked for we found - House was super clean and well cared for- 2 grills which were clean and easy to use- Endless things to do, Pool Table, Ping Pong table, Foosball Table, Kayaks (that we didn't use but nice they were available) Life jackets (that we didn't use) but still nice they had a ton of them- Lucky to have great weather most the week, Even on the rainy days we had plenty to do - Check in and out was super easy Negatives - we could only stay 1 week :)

Best Lake house

I read the reviews before renting the property and was convinced it was the right choice. We were all very impressed by the well furnished spacious rooms and the cleanliness of the entire house. The property offered games and entertainment amenities that kept my entire family busy. This beautiful home is in a perfect location at the lake. The host communication and response was top notch. She also provided a lot of household items that you will never find in a vacation rental home. We shall be coming back in the future to this gem at the lake. Hands down the best vacation rental we have stayed

Perfect Getaway

The property was beautiful - our group couldn't stop commenting about how well thought out everything was, inside and out. The furnishings were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the house itself had many architectural features that everyone oohed and aahed over. We'd have to stay longer than a weekend to make use of the many ways there are to relax and have fun there. Nancy was very attentive to our requests and questions. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
