“Well worth staying here, we would stay here again, great location, friendly staff, very clean and well presented, lots of things to do, bbq, spa and swimming pool.”

“The chalets in the bush were beautiful, however there’s no lifts or parking near your room. So you had to carry your suitcases to your room and walk up & down the hill to reach your car. The breakfast was disappointing. I expected a lot more from a Mercure hotel.”

“The room, bathroom, and kitchenette were very clean. Big plus included a little private balcony with great views onto the bay. Check-in was handled via the phone and the manager came a bit later to check if everything was ok. Parking was free. All in all, a nice place to stay.”

“We were upgraded to a very nice ocean view room after pointing out that the garden view was of an active building site. The room was quite finished - ensuite screwed shut and no gas in the BBQ at first. The manager had to defer to HQ before being able to upgrade. The location was stunning! A beautiful beach (dolphins one day one!) Great location for other beach areas e.g. cathedral cove (walk) and hot water beach (drive). Probably the highlight of our visit to the North Island.”

“Such a great place to stay for visiting Hot water Beach as well as cathedral rock. They have towels and spades for your use, and maps. We walked to Cathedral Rock and it was a great walk. The Church bistro next to the property is outstanding. Reservations recommended. Also right across the street is kayak rental and a pub very close by. Room is really well appointed and the amenities are great. Our room was quite private and peaceful(1 bedroom cottage).”

“​I had a fantastic stay at Te Aputa Lodge. It is truly a great property that offers a peaceful and comfortable getaway. Waking up to the nice sea view was a major highlight of the trip. Additionally, the entire place is perfectly well maintained, from the spotless rooms to the surrounding grounds. I would absolutely stay here again.”
