Hotel vicino a Independence Grove Beach - Chicago

“The shower did not have safety grab handles that were usable. There was one to assist getting in and out of the shower but once the shower curtain was closed it blocked access to the grad bar. There was a small plastic hadel on the back shower wall that was part of the wall covering but it was to low to reach to prevent a fall. The shower floor did not have any type non slip covering such as stick on nonslip stickers designed to prevent slips and falls. I explained to the manager on duty that I...

“The room seemed clean, there was just a an odd smoky smell that permeated the room...or.maybe pet odor? It appeared people could bring pets which is a negative for us due to my allergies. I should have called to ask. Otherwise the gal at the front desk was courteous and efficient. I thought the bed was relatively comfortable.”

“I feel like it was unclear on if they came to do the beds and replace towels on their own or if we had to request it. Overall, very clean great breakfast, staff were very friendly. 10/10 I would book here again”

“There was no restaurant for dinner. There was no lobby coffee on the weekend. The shower leaked, and was not repaired on the weekend. The motel did not appear to be a successful business since all the salons were unused. I only needed 4 nights of sleep, and it was fine for that.”

“It was a great place to stay for weekend visit. Easy to get to the naval base, the drive wasn’t far at all. The room I got was setup like a small apartment, the door to the bedroom closed to the rest of the room. There was a loveseat that pulled out (I think it did) with a generous sized kitchen for a small room and a spacious bathroom. The shower had amazing water pressure! I loved how I was able to get a crockpot from the front desk so I could make a healthy, home-cooked meal as eating out...
