Paradiso perduto! Vieni in una delle proprietà più singolari della Blue Ridge. Casa artigianale circondata da 15 acri con una cascata di 150 piedi a pochi metri dal ponte anteriore. Se stai cercando WI FI e TV NON è la tua vacanza. Cerchi tempo morto? Cerchi ispirazione? Cercando di riconnettersi con la natura e disconnettersi dalla velocità del mondo, questo è il posto che fa per voi. Apri le finestre e lascia che il suono dell'acqua guarisca la tua anima. Siediti davanti a un'antica finestra panoramica con una scrivania di 20 piedi e osserva i raggi del sole filtrare attraverso il baldacchino degli alberi e illuminare le pagine del tuo diario. Da questa finestra guarderai in basso a circa 100 piedi dal torrente sottostante e da tutte le incredibili formazioni rocciose sulla riva opposta. Oppure porta la tua stuoia di yoga sul ponte e fai la posa del guerriero mentre il sole sveglia il giorno. Di notte accendi un fuoco nella fossa sul ponte e ascolta i suoni della notte mentre guardi le stelle uscire. Immergiti nella vasca asiatica all'interno della casa e apri le finestre e ascolta le cascate mentre lasci svanire il peso del mondo. Chiunque verrà capirà quanto sia speciale questo posto. Non puoi scrivere di speciali, devi sentirlo. La casa era precedentemente di proprietà dello scrittore e drammaturgo. Dal lavello della cucina in pietra ollare al bagno con doccia con una sporgenza in pietra per lo scarico ogni dettaglio è unico. È la vacanza perfetta per scrittori o romantici.

Intorno all'area vi troverete a 3 miglia dal New River e Blue Ridge Parkway. Sei a circa 45 minuti da alcune delle migliori escursioni che lo stato ha da offrire al Grayson Highlands State Park, dove è possibile collegarsi all'Appalachian Trail. Sei a circa 30 minuti da ottimi negozi e ristoranti a West Jefferson NC. A cinque miglia di distanza si può godere Mt Vale Winery. In fondo alla strada si trova l'allevamento di trote della Foxwood Farms, dove è possibile pescare per la cena. A truly healing location!

We were looking for a quiet weekend getaway while attending an event in this area. This cabin and waterfall location was a much needed retreat! The host was prompt with details and answering any questions we had prior to arriving. This truly is a special place, and being able to fully unplug from everything next to this beautiful waterfall is a healing experience. Best sleep I’ve had in ages!!!

150' Waterfall House

Fabulous, beyond our expectations. The waterfall is just as pictured, if not better. We had a lot of rain one day, and the water volume increased very much. WOW! It happened twice that one day. The view of the waterfall from the bed is a very nice extra.

Fall away

Our stay at the falls was so needed. I kidnapped my husband and although he was skeptical about the location, and the place, he changed his mind really quickly. The mode of the inside of the home resembled nothing but peace and tranquility. Every little detail was perfectly placed. We loved the sounds of the falls with each game or puzzle we worked together. We can’t wait to return! We added to the library and puzzle collection. Such a blessing to find and be able to stay!

A Little Piece of Heaven

The falls are so beautiful and soothing and the house so delightfully creative and charming we felt like we were in our own personal paradise for a few days. This wasn’t our first visit and won’t be our last. The host communicated with us extremely well, and we were overwhelmed with peace and joy during our time away from it all. The falls really do feel very healing.

Magical and Nourishing

We had such an amazing stay at this waterfall oasis. We had plans to hike and explore Grayson Highlands, and it ended up being quite difficult to want to leave! We could’ve easily enjoyed several more nights here, and look forward to returning. Thank you so much for thinking of everything under the sun. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. We are so glad we were able to experience a stay and celebrate our anniversary at this wondrous spot. It’s a memory we deeply cherish. Lovely!

A great place to disconnect and reconnect. We'll be back for sure! Just be aware of the driveway-- it really is steep and even my husband's Subaru struggled to get up it. You will need a car with 4WD for sure.

Unplug and reconnect

The waterfall cottage was exactly what my husband and I needed! We loved everything about our stay. We read, listened to the wonderful cd collection, danced, played cards and just enjoyed each others company while watching and listening to the falls. We cooked breakfast and dinner in the well supplied kitchen each day and explored local towns in the afternoon. Caroline really thought of everything! We look forward to coming back. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!!

Zen Paradise

I highly recommend this peaceful home overlooking a beautiful waterfall that you hear morning and night. We loved waking up and seeing the waterfall. The Japanese soaking tub offered a tranquil view of the waterfall during the day, sounds if the waterfall and candlelight at night. No wifi, no cell phones … an incredible respite from fast paced life.

A Sanctuary

Short stay this time, but we made the most of it. This property is an absolute gem. You can relax in a comfy chair staring at the elegance of the falls with a glass of wine and some music playing, or soak for hours in the tub. Outside, the waterfall and stream are an exciting habitat for various wildlife. We spotted two different types of newts! The space is so inviting, and you can really see the care that's gone into making it so remarkable. Everything is magical. Turn off your phone, unpack your things, and let the natural, wild beauty of this place erase your troubles. We'll certainly be back for a longer stay in the future!

My wife and I live in the country on a purty piece of land, but this spot is something special. The sounds and the grounds are lush but they are rivaled by the deep soak tube hanging over you private waterfall in the back yard. We will be calling on our wonderful host, Caroline, again!

no better vacation getaway

There is no better place in Virginia to unplug from the internet and detach from the busy-ness of modern life. Perfect peace at the foot of a waterfall. Lovely, perfectly appointed cabin. Stay for a weekend or for two weeks - leave refreshed and only wishing you could stay longer. Healing Waters Falls has my highest recommendation!

Secluded Natural Serenity

This place is amazing. Beautifully crafted building that seems to have been built around the bathtub and views of the waterfall. Exposed reclaimed timbers and lots of windows. It felt like we were at our own private sauna and meditation center. We parked at the top of the hill by the gate and walked down. We didn't trust our minivan to make it back up the steep hill. We actually had just enough cell coverage to send a text (Verizon). Our only regret was not being able to figure out the landline phone number so we could say goodnight to our kiddos. Highly recommend this place if you are looking to unplug and love nature.

Amazing Property!!

Caroline has thought of everything to make this home a peaceful, rejuvenating, amazing retreat. Your stress falls away the minute you enter the home, and then you look outside to the land and beautiful waterfall! Absolutely spectacular yet so comforting at the same time. It was very hard to leave and we cannot wait to return!

Waterfall bliss

The photos of this property do not do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful and immaculate. It is WAY off the beaten path, so be prepared for a drive into a remote area, but the tranquility and sense of escape are worth every mile!

Amazing retreat in the woods

This is a total zen experience. The house is beautiful inside and so well stocked. Caroline has thought of every small detail from the kitchen to the bathroom all the way to the well stocked medicine chest. Just bring your clothes and food. Turn off the world and turn on the recovery!
