“Our stay at Ocean View Lodge was overall decent. The best part was definitely the ocean view — being able to sit out on the balcony, relax, and listen to the ocean was really nice. The room itself was older, but it seemed well maintained and clean. The bedframe was a little damaged, but it didn’t affect our stay too much. “It was absolutely delightful, on all counts! The staff was wonderful. The location and the view from our room was fantastic! The cleanliness of the whole property was great!!! “There was a candy wrapper upon arrival on the ground in our hotel room so we should have known then. The housekeeper didn’t clean our room while we were out while was weird. The pool is closed from 10-3 which I’ve never heard of. There was no AC and it was hot on the 2nd floor and the fan provided wasn’t enough. Overall probably won’t be here again.”

“It was clean but very run down. We couldn’t check in until 4, and the rooms were so old. I wish they advertised better. I may have still stayed because of location to the beach but for the price it was so not worth it.”

“Very nice property! Great location, nice views, very nice room which was very clean especially for a Pet friendly room. They had everything you need in the room. The grounds/gardens are well maintained and pretty. Nicely lit at night. The restaurant/Tavern was excellent; great food, wonderful atmosphere and service. Our server Matt was amazing! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Even our fur babies enjoyed the stay just as much as we did. We will be coming back here for sure!”

“Had a wonderful stay at Mendocino Cove! They were pet friendly and had a dog bed, bowls, treats and even towels for our little pup. Amazing grounds and property is well kept. Location perfect with a labyrinth and easy trek to the beach. Room was perfect for our daughter's birthday getaway. Had a bit of wifi issue upon check-in, but it was resolved the next day and didn't miss it all too much. It was relaxing and they really try to focus on wellness. “The only reason I choose this place was the hot tub and sauna they had advertised online, I was traveling into town during a grueling motorcycle cross country event and I wanted a hot tub to soak away the muscle pain. Unfortunately the hot tub was "broken" it looked like it had been broken for years, yet still advertising it as an amenity. The room was very dated and missing parts of the counter, no phone, the heater had problems and the room was quite noisy. I will never stay there again and...
