“The check in for starters is very odd. The first thing they make you sign is a disclaimer not to get the wood floors wet etc. or there is an additional charge. The next odd thing is we used the sauna located in the basement which is under construction. So it doesn’t really feel like the pictures. The next item, you need to use their sandals which you are required to deposit 25 CHF in cash per set. You cannot apply to the room or use a credit card hold etc. Not exactly welcoming or relaxing....

“We had a wonderful stay at Boutique Hotel Alpina. The staff are amazing, welcoming & friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. The hotel has a beautiful view of Lake Brienz. There’s a sitting area outside where you can enjoy the view of the lake and mountains. Got a free parking in the property. Thank you so much Hotel Alpina!”

“The reception staff was exceptional. They were knowledgeable about the area, fluent in multiple languages and really helpful with information and assistance supplying us for our weekend stay. Apartment was clean, roomy and had everything we needed to stay in or go out (including much needed Nespresso and umbrellas). Everything is very walkable from the location. Was made to feel like a special guest.”

“The room was clean and quite nice. Unfortunately no bath robe and slippers. No gym either. Nice breakfast the morning after. Parking very expensive. Do not use it, there is a public one close and much cheaper. The position of the hotel is central. On the railway tracks but no noise at all. Overall a good experience.”

“Hotel was perfect for us. Location excellent, close to everything you could possibly need. Rooms were a lot bigger than I had expected. Nice to have a bathtub. Staff were very helpful and we had free breakfast every morning, which saved us a lot of money”

“hotel storico di inizio 900, in buona posizione con bella vista sulle montagne. Le aree comuni sono fascinose e ben arredate. Le camere sono invece vecchiotte... mal insonorizzate e con cadute di tono (peccato). Il servizio è buono. La cucina è appena discreta: ci si aspetterebbe maggiore qualità.”
