“The location of the hotel is perfect , literally on the doorstep of Lincoln Cathedral and the castle. Parking is opposite to the hotel - although it is a public car park and a fee charged by meter upto 24hour parking available. The hotel itself is lovely, well presented and very clean. “We arrived at 9pm with a car full of expensive filming equipment, no spaces in the car park. I suggested parking where other cars were parking near the hotel on double yellows but the desk person said this was not allowed and they would be moved on, they weren’t nor were the two non disabled cars in the disabled bays. Parking is very badly managed and desk person totally unhelpful. Feel sorry for any disabled drivers as non of the spaces were being used by blue badge holders”

“The room was lovely, clean, quiet and spacious. Very comfortable too! Staff were always friendly and helpful - making access available for my mobility scooter on the same level as our room was so helpful and kind! Greatly appreciated. The facilities and food were great in all respects, we had breakfast, dinner and bar snacks. Always overlooking the beautiful Lincoln cathedral, such a treat. All the staff played their part and were very friendly and helpful even when super busy. ”

“Expedia should be ashamed to charge for accommodation in what was a hostel for vagrants. During the period that access was unavailable to us, a neighbour told us that the Hamilton was used to house council-sent people, and we saw three such unfortunate people waiting to enter. My wife was frightened by the property when access was eventually gained, describing it as being like her idea of a prison, and I found it forbidding and inhospitable. “The place was cute, and the neighbor was very kind, he came out to talk to us when we were trying to figure out parking the first night. The drive isn’t big enough for any car larger than a Mini, but there’s ample space for parking on the curb. The only real downside was the amount of bugs within the property. Any corner that was looked at held spiders of considerable size. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who’s as sensitive to those things as I am. We sat on the back porch the first night...
