“Our stay in Balvenie was very good. Nice apartment in a convenient location in Oban. One critique / watchout for future renters. The VRBO Listing showed the apartment as having both a washer and a dryer. We chose this apartment based on the advertisement of having a dryer as we knew we would need to do laundry at this juncture in our trip. As it turned out, the listing was wrong...there was no dryer. “The best part about this VRBO was the location. It really was perfect. We were an 8 minute walk from the train depot, as situated in the middle of the most charming town of recent memory, and we had an ocean view. The flat was very clean. The bed is firm (bordering on hard) but I would stay again. ”

“Location in the heart of Oban so good if you don’t have a car. Bedrooms and bathroom recently decorated and beds comfortable but both bedrooms could do with some more furniture (dressing table/chair/hooks?). Not as well equipped as expected and some of the kitchen equipment needs replacing (saucepans and utensils). Bedrooms clean but the kitchen drawers/cupboards need a good clean (we had to wash the contents before we used anything). It had the feel of student accommodation rather than the...

“This was a very well equipped apartment in a great location. The bed was very comfy (albeit one side against a wall and a bed end which made it a bit difficult to get in and out of).Plenty of hot water but a bit of a drainage issue in the shower ( made the owner aware so hopefully this will be fixed).The washer and drying rack were a handy bonus ”

“Myself and a friend escaped busy Edinburgh out here for the peace, quiet and of course the views. So much to see out here. From the beach house to the ride around to the nearby towns. The views are gorgeous. Makes you want to just stay .”

"The right place for a one night stay. Close to the ferry pier and the fish market. The building is old without lift, reception in the pub at ground floor. The room has everything you need in a tiny space. Windows haven't been renewed, very hard to open. Usb plugs by the bed are a smart idea but unfortunately not working. I asked for luggage deposit next morning as I was on a day tour (like 80% of tourists in Oban) but I wasn't allowed due to a private event. Overall a good value for money if you look for an essential stay. "
